Well, thats that...

Laugh all you want, but lets insert a little realism and levity here. I worked as hard as anyone for Dr. Paul. (I suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns on my face working the Iowa Straw Poll). With that said, the failure to understand and operate effectively within the existing political environment has gained us little traction and a lot of negative attention.

These news reports on the eve of the N.H. primaries were no accident. The MSM had plenty of chances over the last few months where they could have reported this kind of action, but they didn't, and we just kept giving them ammunition. The Hannity and Clinton examples so ill timed and embarrassing...

Like I said, the movement isn't over, but Dr. Paul's candidacy is. I appreciate the philosophical manner in which they tried to conduct the campaign, but unfortunately, it didn't work. We need to learn from our mistakes and come back stronger.

This report [EDIT the New Republic article] is hitting too late to have a major impact. If Ron was getting front-runner coverage it might matter -- even then there really isn't enough time for it to diseminate. I've watched a lot of coverage tonight and the Tucker piece was the only mention. And he completely discounted it. [EDIT: There have been plenty of other "nutty supporter" reports -- these don't change anything]

The New Republic article apparently just came out today. Again, not enough time to stop us in New Hampshire. I don't know how well we're going to do in NH, but this story isn't going to make or break us.

It could have an effect in Michigan and South Carolina if Ron comes in 3rd in NH and gets a bump.

Anyway, they've tried to make this attack stick many times before -- it hasn't worked yet.

Why contribute to the problem by declaring the campaign "over"?? I don't see how any of us are well served by this thread. You're free to say anything you like, but I don't see the benefit on this one personally.

Believe me the founders of this country were not being realistic when they thought they could take on the British Empire (Fox News would have said their decision was barely registering in the polls).

They were focused and determined against all odds, because it was absolutely necessary, in their minds it was the only option.

If we are truly going to take our country back we must work for every vote and believe in what we are fighting for.

People come here for their support after a long day working for Mr. Paul.

Lets not kick the revolution in the sack.:)

I dont care if this is a troll or not, but honestly, this negativity has to stop. Shut the hell up and go out and vote and canvass and do your part.

Yes, because blanketing my precinct and caucusing for Paul on February 5th is "throwing in the towel". I'm looking at the big picture, and yes, being realistic is exactly what I'm doing.

Talk talk talk.
If this thread is truly how you believe, you've thrown in the towel.. and you are a pessimist who is wasting his time.

Realism would be acknowledging the POSSIBILITY that yesterday's and today's events could hurt his campaign. That's not what you are doing here in this thread.. you are quitting, you are whining, and you are acting like Ron Paul has already been buried in NH before the votes have even been cast.

That's realism for you.
