Well, I would say Rand Paul won the Chris Wallace debate!

msnbc, all the leftist spin artists are pushing this debate as being about Rand wanting to raise the age on social security, so you know....

Thanks for the snippet!

"First of all, we have to look at whose money it is, it is the people's money, ...so I don't look at it as a cost to government."

This isn't about the debate, but I did have an interesting observation yesterday. To make a long story short, I drove from Louisville to Cincinatti and then down towards Lexigton and back to Louisville. Most of this trip was on highway, but a good portion of it was on country roads too.

What I observed were many Rand yard signs and bumper stickers. This is not an exagerration. I did not see one yard sign or bumper sticker for Conway. I was on the road for a total of 5 hours. I thought that was pretty interesting.

I used to live on Bardstown road near UofL and Jack Conway has had a perma-sign there in front of a storefront it seems like for years....with his slimey politician smile.

I live towards the eastern side of Jefferson County I wasn't anywhere near downtown Louisville yesterday. I suspect that I would have seen some Conway signs had I been in that area of town.

I just thought it was very interesting to be on the road for that long in various parts of KY and to not see a Conway sign.

Conway has such a smarmy smile. When I look at him, I think of John Edwards.

I think the debate was a draw.

Oh, I don't. Conway was clearly LYING at least twice; Rand never did. And that doesn't even count the bailouts bit which can be shown to be a lie with external evidence (from the Courier Journal interview.) I think honesty counts with people.

However, it cheers me that even you think it is a draw, that suggests most people would consider it a win for Rand. :D

You are more pessimistic than most, I think.

When the debate sinks in and the fact checking is done, I think Conway's performance will haunt him. Lies may work at first but they eventually come back to bite you!
