Well, I hope no one is surprised... we are in the "attack" phase... A good thing!

And, my, what an AWESOME discovery these people will be making when they are introduced to Dr. Paul!

It was May 9 for me...I'll never forget the date.

The attack phase is both exciting and dangerous. It signals to the movement how far we have advanced in the cause for freedom, but at the same time, we must be prepared for a massive on-slaught never before witnessed in American presidential politics. I personally have never seen such a vicious orchestrated campaign of dis-information and slander as I have seen directed towards Dr. Paul's candidacy. If he is not as popular as the Neo Con media would have us believe, why attack so hard even before one vote is cast ?

There is something big going on. That is for sure. An epic struggle will ensue. A struggle worthy of its place in the annals of history. The battles are being fought and only one side can win. This is the dilemma we face. The America we know, proud and free against those who would keep us enslaved. Reminiscent of the civil rights movement of the 60's, we are in the liberty rights movement of this new American century. We fight with words, thoughts, and ideas. They fight with lies, hatred, and bitter souls. Good against Evil. The people against a corrupted Government. The corrupt want to maintain the status quo. The people have awoken from their deep sleep of despair politics, and demand a change to end political enslavement.

The attack phase. Exciting indeed.

The important thing is to remember not to get bogged down fighting back. Peaceful revolutions in the manner of Gandhi and Martin Luther King resisted attacks, but did not strike back.

The "opposition" would like nothing better than for us to stop campaigning, and getting hung up on defending our candidate, or fighting them. It will diminish our momentum.

Stay focused and keep working hard. Good things will come from that approach.

DO WE JUST SIT BACK AND TAKE IT THOUGH?

OR DO WE FIGHT BACK WITH SOME TRUTH?

NEWTON'S 3rd LAW of MOTION: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

SO SINCE THEY ARE LYING WE NEED AN EQUAL REACTION OF THE TRUTH!!!!

Well, I think we have to have some balance. Yes, some injection of truth is needed. But we can't spend to much time just responding to attacks, so that it takes away from time we could be spending on something more productive.

This past summer I read the book "The Real Thomas Jefferson", and I saw many parallels between Thomas Jefferson and Ron Paul. When Thomas Jefferson was running for President, he had to deal with so many attacks that he decided not to answer any of them. He told James Monroe, "It has been so impossible to contradict all their lies that I have determined to contradict none, for while I should be engaged with one, they would publish twenty new ones."

If there many attacks against Ron Paul, we can't afford to spend all of our time defending against them.

I think the other candidates have proven that there is no such thing as bad publicity.

At least not for Ron Paul... he's got principled integrity so the more exposure he gets the better we look. The attacks come off looking like attacks, which makes the attacker look bad not Ron Paul.

Indeed, I've been shocked a couple of times by these attacks, but Malcolm Anderson (I think that's his name), the blogger from the LA Times, warned that RP supporters better be ready for some really heavy hitting attacks in the near future. In fact, he implied that we ain't seen nothin' yet.

I think we need to always remember not to take the attacks personally. These are really angry people whose status quo is threatened by the rEVOLutionaries. It's very scary for them and there's nothing they can do to stop it. So, just like a little kid who doesn't get his way, they have a tantrum...a very public tantrum.

We absolutely must stay cool, calm, collected, determined, and focused on our goal. We can learn from the attacks, discuss the issues in question, and become more educated about our candidate, his philosophy, and what we really want in government.

If we begin to attack back or get defensive, we've lowered ourselves to their level and we become ineffective in achieving our goals. We've got to become like teflon pans--when the shit hits, it slides right off. I know it's hard because we tend to take attacks on Ron Paul or his philosophy as personal attacks, but they're not. They're simply the emotional responses of someone who is either scared or frustrated because they've lost control. It's really their problem, not ours. Let's not get sucked into it.

Thanks for "listening".

I think they are vacillating between completely ignoring Dr. Paul, attacking him directly, and attacking him indirectly.

I do believe that there is a good deal planned for the attack once he starts winning in early primaries. I predict they will use the Morton Downey show from 1988, they will probably dredge up something about his medical practice (perhaps cart out a fake former patient), and they will plug the hell out of the neo-nazi donation and fraudulent allegations about the 'dinners in DC'. I also believe they are waiting for the blimp project to either FAIL completely, or be investigated by the FEC. I think they will cast a negative shadow on the intent of the blimp to skirt the FEC laws as we've already seen in some preliminary MSM hit pieces.

While we are sick and tired of hearing about all of this, we are on the front line of slanders against Dr. Paul. Most americans haven't heard about it, and I think we're just a single FoxNews internal memo away from it getting on the airwaves.

Yep.

These are good signs, RP threat to status quo dogmas and establishment is gathering steam and more attacks should be coming. Some of these are good free publicity. No one kicks a dead dog.

Think this is why the campaign is ignoring the attacks. By responding to them, you help keep them circulating and your time is taken up in less valuable pursuits.

Depends, responding to these scattered attacks might inadvertently draw more attention to them so it is best for the campaign to leave them alone. But I have a feeling that after Iowa, if we place 3rd, the media is going to do its best to throw as much mud at us as possible. With such little time between Iowa and New Hampshire this could hurt us if we are unprepared. If this happens the campaign better have some pretty heavy fire power lined up (spokespeople, ads, etc.) to combat the lies. As long as HQ is ready for it we will be able to fight it back, but we just cannot be caught off guard.
