Some nutrients are essential and your body can't make it. So it won't matter how fat you are.

After a while you get scurvy with no Vitamin C.

Other nutrients are just as bad if not worse. Some of it your body pulls out of your bones because you can't make it.

Most people's bones arent full of good nutrients as it is because they cant afford to eat right.

I went hungry for a few months like that once. I started to throw up constantly for 24 hours straight and couldn't keep any water down. It turned out I had really low potassium and almost died.

That's what happened to me when I didnt eat for a couple months so I don't have to Google it.

I wouldn't recommend being poor and going hungry for months to anybody.

I used to think sort of like a bot I guess.

Its not that I couldn't think for myself I just trusted sources instead of questioning everything and didn't verify things that shouldn't be trusted.

Thats what made me believe I didn't need to eat and I could just go without eating.

Someone told me that I could do it and it would be fine and it wouldn't hurt me and I believed it wholeheartedly.

Almost starving to death has a nice way of teaching you that kind of wisdom atleast.

There's something about learning something through sacrifice and pain that really teaches you.

The government doesn't care about saving you [the tax payer] money. Rather than to ween people off of SNAP and give them time to educate themselves to be able to enter the workforce, the government did this drastically to cause chaos in order to roll out their "solution".

Interesting aside, a food bank was on the local news because they are giving out free food and expanding to people outside their community. Just part of the daily standard leftist/DNC propaganda on local "news".

The irony is that every time they feature something like this on TV, they pan to the line, and it's nothing but elderly Asians waiting.

It may be a stereotype, but elderly immigrants from communist China know how to live in a communist nation, and that includes getting in line early for free stuff.

On the other hand, the local welfare queens so prominently featured in this thread were nowhere to be seen. Guess they aren't hungry yet or motivated to stand in line.

They're "hungry" for grocery store food.

They're not "hungry" for food bank food (which is not as junky, tasty, or otherwise gratifying as grocery store food is).

That's why they only threaten to loot the former, but never the latter - despite how desperately impoverished and needily malnourished they supposedly are.

IOW: Welfare queens wouldn't be caught dead starving looting a food bank. That would just be too "downscale" for them.

This panic about food stamps (SNAP/EBT) is a national and international humiliation and disgrace.

This country's entire history and culture is about agronomy, enterprise, independence, and capacity of a people to feed themselves in a new land. That's the whole point of celebrating Thanksgiving.

That so many people, stores, and whole industries would be so dependent on tax-funded government handouts is utterly disgusting. It's beneath us as a people.

As expected... They all suck.

I still expect some miraculous fix to this before it actually happens, but even if they don't fund EBT, it's not gonna last. I'd be surprised if it goes a week, much less a month or two. It'd take a while for it to hit the corporations that accept EBT - much faster for the mom and pop shops and bodegas.
