I know you were probably supporting Rick Perry as a Texas conservative but he is no longer an option going forward. Just so you know, Rick Perry was saying a lot of things that Ron Paul has been saying for many years and you do have a Texas conservative in the race in Ron Paul.

Please do some research on Ron Paul's record of voting against taxes and voting against unbalanced budgets and I hope you will see that Ron Paul is the only candidate in the race that can get our country back on track.

I admired Perry's platform of cutting 3 agencies -- 5 is even better than 3!
Hope you feel at home at RP forums -- speak out if you have questions.

Welcome, Rick Perry supporters!

Just as Rick Perry was a strong supporter of states rights, so is Ron Paul.

Welcome Rick Perry supporters! We hope that you will find common ground with Ron Paul on some of the issues. Of everyone left, Ron Paul is the only candidate trying to uncover the disaster that is the Federal Reserve. In my opinion this is more important than any other issue because of it's connection to the debt and the failure of our dollar. If you have any questions, ask away!

Yep and Perry said it was Paul who opened his eyes to the Federal Reserve and how it was causing a lot of problems.

Remember that video of Rick Perry where everyone in the MSM was saying he was drunk or on drugs? That actually softened me up on Rick Perry. Some of the positions he's taken might have turned me off, but at least he was a likeable guy. I thought in that video he was very personable, genuine, and had a good sense of humor, all aspects that should be sought after in a presidential candidate.

My own thoughts are that the whole debacle in the first few debates regarding the "not having a heart" thing was admirable. He was willing to take a stance completely contrary to common GOP wisdom, because he truly felt differently. I think that if we can solve some of the pressing issues we're facing, we might be able to open up a real dialogue about more difficult and intricate issues. We have to avoid flying off the cliff beforehand, though
