cnn is just making a guess.unless we know who really stayed back ,we cant be sure.the campaign knows this game.frothy probably does not that well on this count.if his surge was really tht shallow,then he couldnt have the enthusiastic supporters hanging around till the end of the voting.

Correct. Why AP and even CNN are trying to make delegate projections is beyond me because nothing has been assigned and as it turned out, John McCain got all 40 of Iowa's delegates on the convention floor in 2008 despite Huckabee's victory. Quite frankly, it's damn foolish. This was a beauty contest designed to winnow the field.
