Thoughtbombing,
I think you might have jumped the gun if you actually already bought an ad you don't have cash for........
I'm not saying you're dishonest, but you seemed to jump on the opportunity to have money sent to you, with a pretty agressive pitch. All the details seemed to be "whatever you all decide is fine", except the "here's the address to send the $$$$$".
On your Myspace page you have the motto "F*ck Politics I Just Want To Burn Sh*T Down".
Your Myspace profile was established about 6 months ago and has both the official Kuncinich campaign and "original unofficial Kucinich page" as friends. I'm not hip to how Myspace works, but can I assume that since Paul is the first friend on your list, he was the most recently added?
Again, none of this makes you dishonest, and I'm not saying you're dishonest. But you gotta admit, asking people to send what will likely add up to tens of thousands of dollars based on how much faith they have in your word that you've bought an ad is questionable.
I'm not intending this to offend or disparage you in any way. It's just that, for me, I'd have a hard time putting this much faith in alot of people I have face to face contact with on a regular basis. Much less a record promoter I've never met and only know about from the internet.
I think you can likely appreciate where I'm coming from, looking at it from my point of view. I'm sure as a business man you don't front tens of thousands of dollars to some band that promises they can actually play when all you know about them are posts and web pages on the internet.
You may want to cancel your ad and web page and let us all unite our efforts on funding this. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
I'd cast my vote for Lord Xar's "Americans United for Liberty" PAC.
