we really want votes from people who are thinking logically and will be able to piece together a cohesive sentence.
Well yes, but we want the other 99% too!

I remember in 2008 hearing Huckabee explain how he was so successful at winning the support of Christians by saying that he "spoke the language of Zion," or something like that, which was his way of admitting that he did exactly what the OP suggests. What I think he meant was that he would mingle Sunday School terms in his speeches, like "redemption" and whatnot. I didn't like it, and I don't respect people who do that. But I can't deny it works.
Um, so that's how Huckster won the nomination?
That's what I thought.
I think we're finally seeing the day when most voters have gotten sick of being pandered into the poorhouse, and are at long last ready to hear less pretty lies and more truth.
We need to win over James Dobson and his followers, also the Liberty University People, and Kirk Cameron. Then Get Chuck Norris and Iowa will vote Ron Paul.
Meh. Their stupid enough to fall for the other candidates.
Um...do you think Christian conservatives are idiots? I think it is the wrong strategy to think you are going to fool people just by having the right catch phrases imo.
But if you are saying that we need to awaken Christians to their own tradition of Liberty in this country, then I'm with you.
"Hope." "Change."
Remember?
I Hope this Changed your Mind.
From now on we need to start a sentence or phrase with Amen, bless you,Jesus etc etc. If we intend on winning Iowa we need to show them that we talk the talk as well. Win over the Iowans with bible verse.Take a Sunday course or two and brush up on your bible studies!

What say we keep talking about the issues, and keep being ourselves? I think we're finally seeing the day when most voters have gotten sick of being pandered into the poorhouse, and are at long last ready to hear less pretty lies and more truth. Otherwise we wouldn't be doing so well. So, how about we stop being cynical and arrogant for a minute and remember how we got here--education, sensibility and truth. We just got people used to these things. We had better stick with them.
You hear Ron Paul pandering? I don't. I just see him walking the walk. Walking the walk, Ron Paul style, wouldn't even hurt you atheists any.
Really.
I hereby nominate this as the unintentional troll thread of the year.

Absolutely. He shouldnt shy away from talking about his Christian conservative values. It's who he is. And to boot, it appeals to Iowa primary voters, if he bombs in Iowa he's gonna bomb everywhere else. It's common sense, only a fanatic atheist would object.
LOL. I consider it a great idea but presenting the wrong way. If you are a Christian and you find Dr. Paul's ideas fit your Christian ideals, there is nothing wrong with framing those ideas that way when talking to other Christians. But if you're not a Christian, of if your walk is shaky, and you're just "sprinkling in Bible verses" without any rhyme or reason then that would be counterproductive.
