That's going to happen with anyone in politics these days. There are no true conservatives. A stepping stone would be to support a liberal that has some principles that we support until we get a true conservative (Re: Ronpaulican) as a replacement.

Anyway, I was going to bring up the possibility of supporting Cindy Sheehan to remove the Speaker of the House after her one term. This would be a HUGE message to the elites that we are sick of the neocon government and their bullshit wars.

Before people start flaming Sheehan for not being a Ron Paul Republican, I will repeat something I've said before and that is that never before in US history has the Congress been 100% composed of a single party. No matter how much we cry and try, we will NEVER have a Congress composed entirely of Ron Paul Republicans. So for those who are not RPRs, who do we want them to be? Neocons who are pro-war and anti-impeachment, or liberals who are anti-war and pro-impeachment?

After all, Ron Paul has said that one of the biggest factors in our economy is our foreign policy.

For all who dont know and live outside of California, you should understand that San Francisco is one of the most liberal places on the face of the planet. That means no republican will ever become anything elected in the city of 800 Thousand - not even DOG CATCHER!!! So basically this is a strickly democratic town since after the Hippie movement in the 1960's. Why do I know this because I live across the bay and its pretty much the same thing!!!

San Francisco is unique because it places a good situation that Ron Paul Republicans are faceing trying to become delegates elsewhere around the country. Even though San Francisco is a heavily democratic city; its good to note that its divided between the Establishment Democrats (Rich Super Rich people who live in the nice multimillion dollar houses by the Golden Gate Bridge) and Grassroots (Everyday Joes and Janes just like you and me). The Establishment Democrats are just like the republicans that you see in these Conventions at the local and state level, they dont want to hear change or anything that changes the platform of the party. These establishment democrats speak with their pocket books. The mayor of San Francisco (Gavin Newsom) is a multimillionare - owns a 5 star resturant and a Napa winery. He is connected to Establishment aka the Rich.

The Grassroots are unique because they do smaller projects that is worthwhile, also they have a big impact in the city. Speak to the Gay Grassroots and the Bicycle Lobbies. Yeah thats right we have Bike Lobby!!! The Unions are important in the city because pretty much any regular joe can be in one.

Its going to be tough for Sheehan to win this race because of this big split. Even if you dont like her,remember this ... Pelosi failed miserably as the House Speaker!!! Plus giving her money would get attention and probably she can come with an upset against Pelosi (the Establishment). We have to make the forces of change, and we have to unite on trying to change government which is accountable by the people and for the people

I think Sheehan has as good a chance as anyone. One, she has received national media attention. Two, Pelosi hasn't done jack shit as the speaker. Three, there is no question what her view of the Iraq war is. Also because of Pelosi's failures, she can easily run some mild attack ads.

However she is running independent which is admirable, but makes the election harder for her.
