Ron Paul and John Mayer
It was great to see John Mayer come out in support of Dr. Ron Paul and in support of the constitution! And who can choose the way he did it? Since he's always followed by media wherever he goes, he didn't exactly choose the confrontation. The battle came to him and he stood up for Ron Paul - camera or no camera!
Frankly don't understand why people are focused on the question of his sobriety since he wasn't driving or involved in a physical confrontation. The camera caught the musician in an unguarded moment, that's all. His friend claimed Paul Wolfowitz did nothing wrong - and he takes a verbal pounding from Mayer who maintained that what he is talking about is the issue of constitutionality. Ron Paul supporters like myself are VERY happy about this development.
There is strong support for Neocons like Paul Wolfowitz in the entertainment industry and for no good reason given that America was misled by them about the Bojinka threat which they ignored - and misled again about Iraq threat which they hyped. John Mayer is a brave man to stand up to them even when reminded that the media was there to capture his every word.

Yeah I think Mel Gibson may backfire somewhat as the MSM is already going to play up the whole "racist" thing if they go after Paul in the future.

Probably a far stretch, but... what about Dave Mustaine of Megadeth? He's against the war but they've recently released a CD titled "United Abominations" and he said around the time of Bush's reelection that he could find Bin Laden before Bush could. He's been saying for years that he would want to be President himself one day, anyway.

Yeah, I don't think Ron Paul would want to be associated with someone who jumps on couches, plans on leaving his infant child alone on a pedestal for 24 hours after birth, and believes that some alien overlord dropped frozen oppressed people into a volcano for their souls to possess us.

I think John Mayer would be great endorsers because if you have an ad with "Waiting on the World to Change" and John Mayer says a few things about Paul, mainstream people would notice him.
The problem is that most people can't even name GOP candidates like Romney. we can't expcet them to notice Paul. Someone already known by nearly every American (John Mayer), needs to expose him.
