We have to find a way to make these bastards pay

Cancel cable. I agree. I did it 8 years ago. Do not miss it. I do of course have internet so I do see parts and pieces and can of course go to TV on the internet. But not paying the cable monopoly is a great way to begin the chastisement of the whore media.

cancel your insurance policies and get off your anti depressant drugs these are the companies that support the MSN call them and tell them why. You will feel much better

Wondering....action against a bunch of different advertisers might not work well - but what if we focused our attention on one single advertiser at a time?

Perhaps - maybe a smaller one who will really feel the pain. Somebody that advertises on all three networks?

I've said it before, a boycot simply will never work on the scale you are talking about. First off, we will be unlikely to impact any of those mega rich corps enough to cause any grief. There are still millions of people who will still watch the tv and continue to buy what they want when they want. Secondly, assuming we did cause a company or 2, or more, to drop advertising on that particular channel, it still wouldn't work. Most of us here believe in the free market, and how that works is the MSM would need to sell those valuable primetime ad slots, and would lower the price to entice new customers. There is the very real possibility the rates wouldn't change, just the advertisers.

Lastly, its not the advertisers direct fault that the MSM is so biased and corrupt. They are companies trying to sell a product, I love CHEVY trucks, so ill keep buying those trucks as long as I can afford them. We need to go after the actual anchors, and generate negative publicity towards them. Find out where they live, organize demonstrations, plaster youtube videos everywhere you can. This can only work if there is an organized and dedicated operation in place.

I don't think its worth the energy. They will always be in power, and to truly win means we have to continue winning people over to our cause any way we can. Keep spreading the message, don't let the media get you down.

Hadn't thought about it but you're absolutely right - it can't be a giant because choosing a giant makes us a flea on an elephant's ass. Do we want to target all three or hit them one at a time? I'm thinking maybe smaller companies can't afford to advertise on all three?

This is good stuff, Sem.

Cancel your cable. I did 12 years ago and haven't missed it. You get all your information/news via the internet anyway.

Since the worst offenders have been CNN and FAUX NEWS I would choose one from their list and then push the hell out of it and make sure that we get the word out that the REASON we are doing it is because of how biased they are. If advertisers start feeling the pinch they might exercise some influence, because they DO have it.

Cancel your cable, find out who sponsors these idiots and don't buy from them. Their main demographic is going to be dying off and will need to attract a new audience. Just remember what they did to you when they are trying to convince you to come back.

I thought we settled this in 2008.

Instead here we are, begging for scraps from the media, once again. Now contemplating another boycott.

Remember how we called every voicemail at FoxNews HQ and flooded them with calls? Remember how we told them that we would affect their ratings (AND DID)?

Well their ratings have gone back up over the past 4 years, which makes me wonder, who stopped boycotting and why?

I love how the mods allow this thread title to be tweeted and remain in Grassroots Central, while anything that objectively analyzes our own campaign gets quickly relocated into trashbin subforums.

"Don't think, don't question, trust us and donate."

There will never be an unbiased news channel. Everyone is biased in one way or another and it can't be helped.

I would think the best way to make them pay is to expose them for what they are. It would take a lot of money and I don't know if they would even show the advertisements no matter how much we paid them.

it is tweeted automatically so not a damn thing a mod can do but ban someone. You can always start your own forum.

Seriously ditch your TV man. It'll be hard briefly but you'll get used to it soon. I grew up without a television all the way from kindergarten through high school.

Could we promote a national cancel your cable TV day?

Imagine tens of thousands fo Ron Paul supporters canceling their cable on the same day!

Don't let this consume you while you can be effectively campaigning.

We may have to wait until after the elections, because our time will obviously be diverted if we try and focus on the media.

We need to just keep cataloging bias and sending it to our friends and family.

Guys?

*All politics is ........ LOCAL.*

The same is true for the MSM in a manner of speaking.

Seriously - LOCAL companies that advertise on LOCAL affiliates of these monsters are going to be WAY WAY easier to impact.

LOCAL affiliates feel the pressure sooner - and in turn put pressure on the networks.
