They've been doing CNN interviews with Romney all morning from St. Pete. His voice sounds like he's been screaming all night. It sounds terrible.

Paul needs to have a very effective performance tonight, even though the Politico guy on the CNN interview said that his people were expecting a 2-person debate between McCain and Romney. The CNN interviewer didn't even mention Paul nor Smuckabee.

I didn't mean for him to do something ridiculous, but something WAY unexpected based on previous performances. Sorry, could have expressed myself better.

I hope that the RP campaign starts talking to Huck's campaign now about an endorsement when he drops out.

Huck pays the most attention to RP in debates and has stolen more of RP's talking points than anyone else. Although his supporters are really against RP, I think that if Huck was talked into endorsing RP upon dropping out they would be fervent supporters of RP.

Basically, we have the money and the capacity to get more in order to go all the way, he has supporters that we need, but not the cash. It would be a major shot in the arm for our campaign.

The media is speculating that he will give his support to McCain and that a vote for Huckabee is an indirect vote for McCain that only hurts Romney. We can't afford to let McCain get the nomination or worse, the White House.

I am sure that this is just crazy talk on my part, but I really hope that the campaign does something behind-the-scenes to get Huckabees support. I don't mean change the campaign or sacrifice our ideals or ethics, but just convince Huck of the reality of the situation and that his support would be best for everyone.

We see this kind of talk after every primary and before every debate.

Not that I'm not hopeful. I'm really hoping Paul knocks it out of the park tonight, but we've had a lot of "turning points" so far.

And interesting point on Huckabee, Thumper. Once he's out, Paul is the only candidate left for evangelicals. The only problem is making sure these people understand that. Huckabee endorsing Paul should be a natural choice, if Huckabee is sincere in his motivations. Unfortunately, I doubt he is.
