We have come so far most of you have no idea

Speaking of which...I'm confident you won't get any objections if you happen to toss off a video or two in this 2012 cycle....

While each and every video of yours was great, this was my favorite. The music just kills me. If I have a little scotch or brandy before hand I am usually sobbing like a baby...You are the grassroots video KING:

Thank you for saying that.

I remember when I made all those videos back in 2007-2008. The first video I made was stop dreaming, I tossed it up on youtube and never checked on it. Then a few days later I checked and it had exploded. I remember thinking "holy shit! There are more people out there that think this guy is a badass?" Then I signed up here at ronpaulforums, where all of us hatched all manner of crazy ass schemes just to spread the RP's message.

One of the funniest things I can remember is when the media kept calling us all spammers, and that Ron Paul's support consisted of a handful of teenage kids spamming internet polls, then one meetup group literally "spammed" a local food bank, with spam. Then there was that other group that did "paint the town Ron", which I thought was creative as hell.

We were such a ragtag bunch, seems like we've all grown a lot in the last few years.

i heard about Ron Paul after IOWA results in 2008 and found the forums soon afterwards. best place for Ron Paul related info.

I'm an 07'er... I was "on board" a couple of months before I found the forums. I love this place. The energy and effort all put toward the common cause of liberty. Thank you all. It's been a pleasure and no matter what happens I know that ALL of us will continue this fight because we know this is a fight that is not won, it is a fight that is sustained.

I'm lovin' all these threads of memories and thanks, to the oldtimers and new arrivals as well. It's been a wonderful four years after forty years in the wilderness. I probably won't be here for another forty, but as long as I'm around I'll be fighting the good fight.

Ok now I'm feeling way too nostalgic, but I have to post this becuase it was hands down one of my favorite videos from the 08' campaign...

And some people think it's hard now....

Hmmmmm. Stroll down memory lane..
I was at the 2007 Iowa Straw poll.
Saw Dr. Paul speak at RonStock
Was there for the infamous Hannity snowball incident while campaigning at the NH primaries.
Check out a bunch of video I shot the last campaign. You will see early vintage Rand

One of my most favorite events I've attended in my life was the Rally for The Republic. I was definitely late to the party back then but have been here since.

This thread absolutely kicks butt, I LOVE it. So many terrific videos, I could watch them for weeks on end.

And now I'm off to try to find out what # "joiner" I was!

No idea how to do that. I was all-in for Paul for some 4-5 months before I found RPF's tho

I figured it out. What you need to do is go the "member list" which can be found here:http://www.ronpaulforums.com/memberlist.php?order=desc&sort=joindate&pp=30

Then sort the member list by "Join Date." This will arrange everyone by the order that they joined. Scroll through the pages until you find your name.

I started following Paul in 1999 when I realized the stock market was going to soon crash and the greater depression was coming (still not here but getting closer). I found the forum in 2007. Never thought people would come to their senses this quick. In 1999 I recognized that being a victim was rewarded in the US and consequently most sought victim status, and I knew this was not sustainable and that the great turn that laid ahead (the greater depression) would not be completed until individuals started standing up for themselves and saying "I am not a victim". I am honored to be surrounded by the first group of individuals that stood up...but never in my wildest dreams did I imagine it would happen less than 10 years later, I really thought it would take at least 20-30 years. Now it's up to us to keep it going and to get the rest of the laggards to stand up and to stop hiding behind some victim status, whether it be racial victimization, frivolous lawsuits, or just plain feeling sorry for themselves.

Yes, I'm jealous of you 2007'ers and 2008'ers. I was in my young twenties back then, didn't know much about politics, and supported Romney because I thought he would grow the economy. I was majoring in Econ, the financial crisis hit, and I started doing some research. The first book that changed my entire outlook on the economy was Meltdown by Tom Woods. Foreign policy took some time (had to fight all the brainwashing and falsehoods I had been taught my whole life), but became a supporter by 2009. Joined the forum in 2010. I'm so freaking die-hard right now that it's an obsession.

I've gotten so frustrated by the media treatment for this cycle - I can only imagine what you guys went through in '07/'08.
