We have come so far most of you have no idea

It was hard to get myself back into this. Seeing Ron Paul's ideas take hold brings a tear to my eye. Real change is coming.

wow. I remember all of that. Just wow.

“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race” ~ Calvin Coolidge

Remember all the hope we had for New Hampshire to be the LIVE FREE OR DIE STATE and put us in some miracle?

January 8th, 2008 was the New Hampshire primary. Arguably the emotional low point of the entire, not just campaign, but modern liberty movement itself.

Biggest. Contrast. Ever.

No doubt.. Although I wasn't posting here, I was actively campaigning for Dr. Paul in '07. The looks have shifted from "are you crazy" to "tell me more". I know I have annoyed my friends and family with my "obsession" with the political landscape, but it's paid off. Thanks everyone for your hard work. We've pulled topics that are "fringe" into the mainstream. Dr. Paul is a modern day hero.

Yeah - they shut us out of the NH debate last time around and now we are second in that same primary. Great memories and great progress. Who knows what the future holds.

My fondest memory from 2007 was the Iowa Straw poll ad we created as a community. I still have a copy of that paper.

Oops. That image came out a little large. Oh, well. We're not on dial-up anymore, right?

Great video. But I bet you could make one four times as long just with MSM comments made in the past week.

I remember closing my eyes and listening to the debates, passively doing the bare minimum to educate myself on the GOP contenders. As I lay there daydreaming I heard a voice that pierced through the clutter, something that rang true, something that was honest. By time I got to the TV he was done talking, so I sat there and waited and waited to hear his voice once again so that I could know the man that had been so unafraid to tell the truth.

2007-2008 was hard. Those memories of struggling to even get Ron Paul into debates, the throngs of supporters who fought endlessly to get him any sort of recognition, and the anger of knowing the truth was being shut out; it was a hard time, but than again, most beginnings are.

Tonight, I feel that we aren't so alone anymore. It still may take some time, but change is coming.

I watched My New Haircut Ron Paul Edition today... love those old days... so much fun!

Things are changing fast. Just read an article about NH (here in Poland). Was expecting a RP blackout or ridicule as usual. To my surprise, they portrayed him quite accurately and described his showing as a big win (though called him libertarian). Wow. 4 years ago he was not even mentioned (you wouldn't know he actually was a contender if you read only their articles). The whole (short) article is about Romney and Paul, their NH speeches and positions. Things are rolling.

I remember 2007 well. So much talent, so much optimism. Remember the Secret Billionaire? LOL that was one hell of a troll!!

I also remember the disappointment we all felt when we learned that, yes, polls are generally correct. We placed poorly in the early primary states and still continued on. Paul kept his promise and created the CFL, a national framework to base his 2012 run.

Now we're a little older, a lot wiser, and kicking asss!!!

love it. i cant think of a better way to have spent all my hours in college. i was a freshman when i started lurking here. i wonder if i would have made the honor roll? i wonder what my attendance would have been like? i wonder what my major would have been... so much has changed since i found ron paul.

Oh yeah!!!! What happened with that guy anyway? I think I got so discouraged for a while back then (after the NH disappointment basically) that I lost track of what was going on.
