We DID WIN Washington!!

He got 21% of the vote. That's 3rd, not 1st. How is it "very clear that RP is leading in WA"? LOOK AT WHAT YOU ARE SAYING. This is one of many reasons why we don't get taken seriously.

The assumption that Ron Paul got nearly all of the uncommitted delegates with nothing to back that assumption up is the very definition of wishful thinking.

Sorry for being a realist... oops... I mean troll.

Do you not understand the purpose of delegates? Delegates vote for the nominee. We have more delegate positions filled by RP supporters in Washington than by any other candidate. Other candidates won the beauty contest that the news likes to report on. Which do you think is the more important thing to do in reality? Have more delegates who support RP or have the news say we won the beauty contest that is the caucus? Obviously it would be energizing to have the MSM report that RP has won a state caucus and it would surely benefit voter turnout in states to come, but it is more important to have RP delegates in position to elect him as the nominee than anything else.

So, can someone confirm/deny how we did in Washington?

Did we take 1st place....and if we did, by what margin?

i have a question. why do people keep asking if we won washington? the washington state coordinator said we won, the ron paul campaign said we won in their daily updates. So maybe we won.

Washington Strategy

As far as I can tell, the winning Washington theory implies that RP supporters represented themselves as uncommitted so they could go to the state convention as covert RP voters.

I heard an interesting strategy at the Texas Ron Paul rally yesterday: there's a great opportunity to do well in the Texas delegate election.

The more inevitable McCain becomes, the less voter participation will be. Which means more opportunity for RP slates to get passed up to the state delegate convention, which decides the deletages to the RNC if no candidate gets >50% in the March 4th primary!

the uncertainty as to whether or not the RP delegates will vote
There's no uncertainty about this. Each of these delegates is already invested and done all the hard work involved. If you don't think they'll show up to their county convention and elect a slate of RP supporters to move on you're crazy.

There is a reason why people enlist as "alternates."

King County is not voting at the county convention but did not tell all delegates.

well said. as far as alternates go, i selected two for my precinct that weren't even at the precinct caucus in case anyone of the 3 RP delegates or myself can't make it to the district caucus.
