We Can Turn the Vet on CNN Into Ron Paul's Joe the Plumber

He may have ruined it for Military. You simply can't speak at or wear a uniform to a political event. Also the guy is an E-4 who didn't look good at all. Why not a retired high ranking officer.

The Uniform Code of Military "Justice" is complete bullshit. How many times have you seen uniformed men and women standing behind Barack Obama while he gives vote-buying speeches? How many times did you see military men and women standing behind McCain at rallies in '08? Politicians are always willing to let military personnel stand behind them and 'look pretty' for the cameras.

Few politicians ever tell one of them to come forward and grab the mic.

Except Ron Paul. —Like a Boss!

Furthermore, I'll argue that this man wasn't getting involved in politics. He was upholding his oath to defend the U.S. Constitution and did so by speaking up. It just so happened that he found a retired Air Force veteran candidate who was doing the same thing.

The sad fact of the matter is that almost anything worth doing to support a candidate for president is severely restricted. I've been living in the gray areas in the regulations since 2007, this Soldier crossed a line and did so in a very public manner. Freedom of speech sadly doesn't fully apply to those of us who signed up to protect it...

You guys realize this Guy could possibly be in serious crap with the army. He wore his uniform and went on national TV to support and campaign. This is agaisnt the Hatch Act and he could possible be reprimanded for this. Shows where his true convections lie that he risked his military career for the cause of liberty!
