thanks, ulsterscots, this video is really important. it's also where i first heard of ron paul. this problem of codex alimentarius is serious, and evidently includes actual food, as well as supplements. several good groups are trying to fight for our right to information, and our right to the supplements themselves. if they were unsuccessful, all we would be left with are chemicals.

Thank you. This is particularly relevant in my field of work where I have to circumvent direct suggestions of helpful supplements, and cannot go out of my scope to contradict a M.D. even when he/she has suggested harmful supplements.

This will NEVER happen, I'm happy to say. Here's why: the biggest HUGEST dietary supplement on the market has an ENORMOUSLY powerful lobbying group that keeps the poli's in their pocket. They will shoot down ANY resolutions from the WTO on food supplements, just like they already did when they lobbied to have the US cast the only vote for abstention from the International Code set forth by the World Health Organization on their product.

Ha ha! Even comparisons about the health risks of their product and other products won't hold any water! Theirs is arguably the supplement which has had THE greatest health impact on this country. It was a supplement meant to be used as a medicine for those who could not survive without it. To this day it is labelled as intended to be a supplement only and not a nutritional replacement, yet is commonly used in a manner for which it was never intended.

Through monetary kickbacks to the government and the medical community, theirs has become a multi-billion dollar industry that will NEVER go for regulation. It is a bittersweet thing that they are on the wrong end of this stick.

If you haven't already guessed who this poweful pharmaceutical-in-supplement's-clothing is or heard about the lobbying power they weild, read up: this "International" code has been in place since 1981 and gotten NOWHERE in the USA (Like I said, a bittersweet victory for someone like me who works to take their customers away)...
