I think that he's talking about the fact that Congress had their electronic confiscated so that they wouldn't leak parts of the bill.

I guess the Capitol has become a prison, of sorts, just like the schools, the hospitals, office buildings, hell anywhere that's not your own private property--unless, of course the SWAT teams get the wrong address.

I've heard a couple of rumors (and they're JUST rumors) that Congress was told, pass this bailout or Congress will be dissolved. A couple of years ago, I would have screamed B.S. Now, I'm not so sure. I don't know what to think.

I suspect that Bush is holding Martial Law over their heads and has been doing that for some time now.

Martial law is standard operating procedure in the House according to Roberts Rules. It applies only it the House in order to keep them there to vote.

The way I understand it, the House is under a type of Martial law that allows the majority to vote on some crap bill without the waiting period generally allowed so that members can read it and understand what they are voting on.
This Martial law is only for the Representatives. Pelosi did it.
Don't hold me to this. If anyone else understands differently please help explain.

You can't have martial law for representatives. If they are being threatened, they need to tell the rest of us so we can do something about it. Remember, the anthrax attacks were directed against them, from government labs.

I agree but just wanted to clear up the misconception that WE may be under Martial Law right now.

This is a Congressional procedure and it has happened before-
