Nothing is in the bag. I was a college student a few years ago and believe me I wasn't always the most reliable when it came time to do something important. Let's keep working the phones until we here Blitzer on CNN say "we can now project the winner of the Iowa Caucus is Texas Congressman Ron Paul"

Run as if you're 10 pts behind.

But, don't think we are all novices going into Iowa, either =)

Ten or 20 years from now, hopefully Rand Paul has an easier time.

Can you imagine how the American people are going to react with Ron Paul does all these things that are supposed to destroy our country and all of the sudden things become AWESOME? The American people won't know what to think. If he's elected once, we won't have to do shit the second time. He'll win with 70% of the vote for re-election (if he runs).

on the flip side, all these college kids will grow up to become a force to be reckoned with!
but we must never let up, the attacks are continuing and we must go into overdrive mode to secure a win in Iowa!

There is no reason we shouldn't have 500 volunteers for ground games in each state for local elections. Awareness and co-ordination are the only things lacking.

Wow not the most reliable of folks to bank on. Hope none get drunk before the caucus...

Is it too late to create a website for a buddy system to vote in the caucus's. Something like I will hold this person accountable and this person will hold me accountable to make it to the Iowa caucus's.

What do you guys think?

Umm...college kids tend to be kids that are in COLLEGE. College is no easy task. A week of going door to door talking to people and handing out flyers will be childs play compared to what they are used to.

They have the energy, they are willing to live in substandard accommodations. They will do great.

And yes, the parties at night are going to be a blast I am sure.

Jordan, before things become awesome there has to be sharp and painful transition period. Probably one or two years until the economy restructures, but it could as well be longer than that... So there's a risk of the American people reacting in not-so-positive way... Life is a bitch.

But then all supporters need to stand with Dr. Paul even stronger than now.

College students are not kids, nor should they referred to as such or treated as such. (sorry, pet peeve)

A Ron Paul win does not mean everything is going to be all rosy and great. We have a huge debt problem that is likely to implode soon, Ron or no Ron. In fact Ron states that the bad debt needs to be liquidated in order to start anew. Many people will be in for a lot of pain as the switchover takes place. You may see a smooth transition - I don't.

That said Ron Paul is our only chance at facing these problems that must be faced. Ron Paul is the right man at the right time that has any chance at fixing what is wrong.

Folks should celebrate only on the late evening of January 3rd, and not before. If there are parties each night, there might not be anythng to celebrate when it matters most.

The first few years of Reagan were very difficult for many. Food lines, poor people in the media all the time, etc.

Reagan made the bold decision to push for high interest rates to stave off inflation. It went up sharply. Gold jumped to $800/OZ before falling sharply. Reagan cut taxes quite a bit. His first two years was full of turmoil. Then things got better.

Some say that Reagan started off as a true conservative walking the walk that he spoke of during his campaign but that he was approached two years into his term and told that the media would not relent unless he started pushing the big government agenda. He then became a war hawk and had skyrocketing budgets but was given a pass by the media.
