David Frum will take "Ron Paul Hates America!" for $100, please, Alex.

How disappointed will Ron Paul be if the US economy does not collapse?

From looking at a link posted earlier in this thread to a Mitt Romney Central chat room, the comments in that chat from Romney supporters was very positive towards Ron.

Inkblots: So, to the Romney people here, how do you think Dr. Paul's speech will go over with people who aren't already paleocons?

Rebel Ross: I think most romney people liked it

Rebel Ross: Ron Paul seems to have moved a little more towards us as we've moved towards him

Inkblots: Well, whatever works

Jayde: That's a good question, Ink. I think many Romney supporters valued Ron Paul - even during the presidential primaries. They still do.

Call me crazy, but does Team Romney have intentions of getting Ron to run with Romney on a ticket as his veep? It'll be interesting to watch how he treats Ron at the debates if RP decides to run again.

#CPAC10 Campaign4Liberty folks packed the hall - Ron Paul finished a rousing speech & now has the longest book signing line I've ever seen!

Romney was very hostile towards Ron Paul in the debates last time around. Remember when he poked fun at Ron, saying things like "I think Ron has been reading to many of Ahmedinijad's press releases."

They are probably being respectful in the sense that Republicans are more fiscally conservative this time around and they have more focus on the Constitution. It doesn't mean they support him.

Just trying to be realistic

Romney needs Ron way more this time around than Ron needs Romney. Screw Romney.

Well at least he is intellectually honest about it. :)

That's at least a step in the right direction. Remember this is the guy who tried to get Ron kicked out of the debates in '07.

We're on each other's FB and Twiter -- I been workin on him ;-)

AWESOME! RON PAUL ROCKED THE HOUSE!!! I think it was one of his best speeches ever! He has gained so much more confidence since '07 as revealed when he tooted his own horn by commenting about how he was right about the economy when he was ridiculed during the primary debates and now Faux News comes to him for his opinions!

He's not the polished politician/orator but speaks truth to power. Loved the brief history lesson he gave about Wilson and true Conservatism, and the dangers of foreign intervention.

What I think was very important was that toward the end, he was reaching out to those who disagreed with his view points, asking them to research the issues and see them in the proper context. I don't think he's ever done this before.

This speech really pumped me up - and don't we have the best music to get the crowd going instead of the typical country songs that they always play for Conservatives?? WE WILL... WE WILL... ROCK YOU! - Hell Yeah, and he did! :D
