Are these people stupid, delusional, or what? I'm 55 years old and there won't be any "transference" on my part. It's Paul or None of the Above.

That guy is absolutely delusional.

Conway's "their skill set will transfer" comment is hilarious. He's basically claiming that RPers will switch allegiance for the good of the GOP, staying up late to create & upload videos/produce high quality graphics for print and web distribution/GOTV and knock on doors everywhere/get all crazy passionate in private conversations, on message boards, and via social media......for Mitt (or Rick).

Uh...yeah.

[Should have thought of that before you totally fucked us over and alienated us completely GOP/MSM assholes./QUOTE]

Exactly my words.

The fake conservatives and fake Tea Parties should have thought about that before they went on their lying smear campaign against Paul who is the most honest politician running and the only true conservative running.

The article is all about saving face now. Too freaking late. Rush, Hannity, Levin, Beck , O'Reilly will suffer the blow back from their LIES.

It only makes it that much more delicious when they screw up and Romney is destroyed by Obama because we vote 3rd party or write-in.

We could be voting Indy with Ron at the top of the ticket.

You never know. Remember, Ron is not an absolutist on the question of running Indy.

That sums up my thought. If they wanted us in any way they should have thought of that before vilifying us.
Before saying we didn't belong in the Republican Party. Before supposedly non biased party big wigs worked against us in caucus's and primaries. Before ignoring us. Before going 24/7 against us when we were about to win Iowa. I'm sorry but if you don't think I'm a Republican then why do you think I will vote for you?

"Rep. Ron Paul and his loyal band of supporters were uncharacteristically missing from the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington last week — and high-profile Republican leaders say the party can’t afford for that to happen in November if the GOP is to win the White House."

Should have thought of that before you totally fucked us over and alienated us completely GOP/MSM assholes.

Now we vote for no one but Paul! Go pound sand GOP! Got it?

And since nothing will improve with whomever the PTB chooses as president, Obama and the Democrats can take credit for the complete and total economic collapse of the USA that is now a mathematical certainty. I can live with that.

The truth is we are in a position of strength here; They need us. We don't need them. I think its time Dr. Paul flex his muscles a little and at least insist the GOP funny business in primaries stop, or threaten to pitch his tent in the 3rd party camp. The GOP just can't afford for us to walk out on them.

I'd like to here him say sometime all nice and innocent like, "You keep saying I don't belong in the Republican debate. If you don't want me, I can leave."

I'm sick of debt.
I'm sick of deficits.
I'm sick of propping up dictators for oil profits.
I'm sick of assassinations.
I'm sick of 'Police Action' wars.
I'm sick of FDA.
I'm sick of the Drug War.
I'm sick of corporate welfare.
I'm sick of 27th place in basic educational skills.
I'm sick of Bailouts.
I'm sick of Central Bank monetary policy dictates.

...I'm not alone. I'm not the minority.

Ron Paul Or No One.

KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKK!

That sums up my thought. If they wanted us in any way they should have thought of that before vilifying us.
Before saying we didn't belong in the Republican Party. Before supposedly non biased party big wigs worked against us in caucus's and primaries. Before ignoring us. Exactly! After all that time, littered with blackouts and smears, now they finally realize that they really need us. At first I was disappointed about Ron Paul not being at CPAC, but now I'm not. Our absense made everyone realize that we're needed, and if Ron Paul doesn't have a fair chance, Obama will be the winner.

“What will be interesting is this: On those same issues as it moves closer to a nomination fight, is there transferability of those activists on core issues that they feel strongly about, given what they see as their strongest potential threat to their values,” Mr. Conway told The Times. “If in fact [Mr. Paul] doesn’t make the nomination, will that same skill set and enthusiasm transfer over to another nominee? We actually think there will be strong transferability if he does not get the nomination.”

This is the only part that I wonder about. How many people actually think that our support will transfer over to another candidate? Think about what it means to be a Ron Paul supporter: We support him financially. I'm flat broke and in the middle of a severe financial crisis, yet I take the time to put in what little I have when the moneybombs start, and I know I'm not the only one. To be a Ron Paul supporter means that you sacrifice whatever you have to fund his campaign. Can that be transferred? No.

It means going door-to-door and taking pages out of the the handbook of evangelicals in order to spread the good news of liberty through mailing brochures, handing out Constitutions, Ron Paul's budget plan (worked for me), and calling out the phonies when necessary. We have to because the MSM is such a force to be reckoned with, and they've had their way with our elections too many times. This fighting spirit cannot be transferred to another candidate. They neither need the grassroots support, and are so flip-floppy that no one would know what position to advocate. They also have no budget plan.

Being a Ron Paul supporter is about supporting liberty over tyranny and believing in the human spirit. We believe that we don't need the government to care for us because we can care for ourselves and each other. The private sector is better at providing for the needy than any government. In the wake of Obamacare, I remember asking on this forum something to the effect of, "Are our hearts so hardened that charity must come in the form of government force?" The answer is 'no'.

Being a Ron Paul supporter also means tolerating other nations, even when they disagree with you. It means respecting the sovereignty of those around us and not seeking to manipulate them, with our without good intentions. America is the symbolism of prosperity - not the instigator of it throughout the world, which is a contradiction to what it means to be a safe and prosperous country.

Sorry, but that kind of support and passion isn't transferrable. It comes from somewhere deep within us - a collective yearning for freedom in the same way our Founding Fathers felt it. To us, this isn't a game of power the way many treat it; it's our future, our children's future, and our grandchildren's future. A lot of us come here from different backrounds, and if the constant flame wars on here are any indication, we are a very diverse group of people. That's a good thing, rather than a bad thing. I'll put up with your ignorance, and I expect you to put up with mine, because we all really want the same thing: freedom.

I wrote RP in last time ..will do the same this time if it comes down to it. I will never vote for a pro war fool.

Awesome thread. OP, +rep.

Well, well, well.

Absence does make the heart grow fonder.

Hey GOP, get a clue. Passionate Honest Conservatives have had enough of RINOs and Big Gov't Republicans. Ann Coulter was WRONG. Rockefeller Republicans are all running for president, except for one man. RON PAUL.

In case you haven't figured it out since 2008, GOP, here's the deal. We're serious. We will only vote for small gov't conservatives. No more propping up the guys who failed us and our country time and time again, and then coming back to us saying "Oh, but we get it this time!" Wrong. Actions speak louder than words.

Now you've seen our action at CPAC. We acted the same way at the voting booths in 2008, btw. Seems you might've heard us now. We're not buying what you're trying to sell us. We've realized that GOP does not always equal small government convictions, policies, legislation, and votes. We're picking and choosing the right candidates from now on. No more straight R ticket.

Give us small gov't candidates, policies, legislation, and votes, or we recommend you go back to the Democrats where you belong.

This year, small gov't candidate == No One But Ron Paul.

Nominate him and beat Obama, or suffer the same consequences you did in 2008, because putting Newt Obamneytorum in there would be no different. Based on this year's response to CPAC, maybe you pay closer attention when we don't show up. If that's the way you wanna play it this year, be our guest.

We'd prefer, however, that the GOP get back to what it's supposed to be - the party of constitutionally limited government. We're willing to join with you in this endeavor. That is what you want also, correct? Correct??
