WASHINGTON state gop convention thread STARTING 5/30 (LIVESTREAM May31-June 2)

I'll break the news now before everyone gets upset when it doesn't happen tomorrow, the plan is to not replace the chair. I'm not happy about it, but it looks like Kirby "Sit down and shut up" Wilbur will be chairing the WA state convention.

every time we don't replace the chair we regret it. We have tons of video of how they cheat and this time they aren't allowing cameras which is the only way we have been able to get our rights, ever.

I sure hope you are ready to do 'deaf chair' response and replace him mid stream, with bullhorns in hand so you can be heard over the upset crowd.....

Cameras are banned at #wagop convention. Rule will be challenged. #ronpaul

I'm guessing that we don't have the numbers since they said the Paul campaign talked to the Romney campaign concerning the 10 At-large delegates and proposed splitting them proportionally to match the straw vote. The Romney campaign declined.

Oh, well. It is what it is. That email and media that Romney has 'clinched it' when it assumes the OUTCOME of all these conventions did a job, I suspect.

YOu can only do what you can do, though. All our best wishes are with you!

The Romney campaign can suck my ass. I got a donation request from them yesterday. Mailed it back with THIS inside.

I didn't get a poster. I got a four page letter full of lies and drivel.

I never open mine. Guess I missed the poster.....
I feel left out, not getting one and all. Some people I know would love to use that for target practice.

Anyways, has roll call been taken yet? If so, any dels as no shows where our alts could rise?

Cameras are not banned. The rules say that if they become disruptive, that the chair may restrict operation of them. We are going to try and get the rule removed, but the simple solution would be to not be disruptive, just record in silence.

what do you plan on doing with the poster? I received the same thing earlier this week... still toying with ideas...

"Dear Mitt,

Since the bailouts you support have devalued my money, this has left me with less to donate to political candidates. Unfortunately for you, I've already donated all that I can afford to the Ron Paul campaign. Anything that I have left, I have to save so that I can afford to go to Tampa and vote for Ron Paul at the national convention. As it is, I was barely able to afford to go vote for Ron Paul at my state convention. Surely you understand what it's like to not be able to afford things, especially when it comes to donating to a worthy cause. I really hope that my lack of a donation doesn't force you to sell one of your 11 houses, or dip into one of your offshore bank accounts so that you can continue to campaign for more bailouts and war. I wish you good luck, maybe you would get better results by sending these letters to your Nascar team owning friends or your buddies from the yacht club, instead of regular folks like me. I really feel bad for you, and since I can't afford to send you a donation, I am instead enclosing a Ron Paul bumper sticker as a small token of my appreciation.

Sincerely Yours,
(name)"

thank you for clarifying that. I agree that IF the chair follows the rules that should be sufficient. Our camera guys have never been disruptive.

I thought we were doing surprisingly well in WA, wasn't aware of one county of our's not being seated and another of ours being 'replaced' by the establishment. That sucks. Did we take as big of a hit from the Jesse Benton announcement as people were speculating?
