It's not over in Washington. We are organizing the Campaign For Liberty in this state anew. It's time to get together and promote the Ron Paul issues with new energy.

There are over 100,000 Ron Paul original supporters out there across America that we don't have contact informatin on. They, typically, don't know that anything is going on. That's probably true across America.

How can we get to these people and direct them to the Campaign For Liberty web page? We need to get them involved as well to snatch America back from the socialists.

Encourage everyone on the meetup lists to enroll on the C4L website - again if they haven't done so in the past (month or so?).

And we need to advertise the local gop meetings and particularly the King County Convention on 12/6 at Newport High School there is an election for KCGOP chair and we have a good candidate.

King County PCOs - and only PCOs - attending the meeting on the 6th vote for county and district leadership positions

Thanks Surf,
We are doing that, and encouraging the ones that are listed as full members to do the training for Precinct Leader. On the C4L Snohomish County web I'm Salty1988. Tuesday evening we had our second county wide meeting. It went very well, and things are looking really good so far. Lew Moore spoke and I spoke on the work I'm doing to help the Index Sportsmen Club regain their Trap facility after USDA Forest Service evicted them in 2004. We're going to try catching up with you folks in King County and the fine work you're doing getting organized.

I'm a PCO in SnoCo. How come i wasn't notified about this meeting?

I;ve given my email addy out, and was at the meeting with Maureen Moore and Justice Sanders.
I also have signed up for CFL. Never get any notices.

I was also a Delegate for Ron Paul in Spokane, and at quite expense to do so.
If you don't need me, just say so.

JK,
I do know that Michelle St. Pierre mentioned that she was working from more than three email lists. We are all volunteers with limited time but we are doing the best we can. She works full time.

Here's what you need to do:
Sign up on the "Snohomish County Liberty Action Committee" meet up group:
http://libertyforum.meetup.com/11/
Or, Actually this is better for you:
Everett Ron Paul Meetup
http://ronpaul.meetup.com/237/

If you do that, you'll get notifications and information. However, if you are a PCO that means you are a Republican Party PCO. CFL is not a part of the Republican Party. We are an influence/activist group that promotes the Ron Paul points of Liberty, Constitutional government, sound money, free markets, noninterventionist foreign policy. But then, those should be no surprise to you.

What has not been made clear to many people is this -- When you signed up for CFL that got you to national information but not local and State. If you want to be active and participate in our State and county groups you need to follow the blue column on the right when you get into the CFL web. If you click the "Join the Campaign For Liberty" bar, it will take you to the State and local program. BTW, each State is independent and each are organizing independently and functioning independently. The national info will remain on the web until you sign into the State page. A lot of the organization will be a mirror of the Republican organization but remain seperate from them. However we'll be training PCOs in our Precinct Leader program that will fit right in to the Republican organization. We'll also be looking for candidates and preparing our own candidates for other offices as well.

To have access to the training material and to be listed on your county/district pages, you need to follow the signup information by selecting the "Become a Paying Memeber." As I recall, it's $35.00.

I am sorry to hear that you were not notified of the meeting. That means that we missed you as much as you missed being there. If you have other questions, I'll try to deal with them either here or on the meetup group I gave you above. I hope to see you there and in our county CFL group as well.

Thanks Dave. Sorry i came off so gruff. I want to be there in this time of un-certainty, if not for our country, but also for my kids(now grown).

I have this expectation that if we have people who want to take a leadership roll, then i will let them, and see what happens.

The last communique i received was from Doug Parris, and Dr. Neff concerning the Yakima meeting, of which i could not make for personal reasons ( helping my son move, using my big truck)....

Hope to meet you soon. I'm a big red head guy, 57 years old.

Again thankyou.

JK - keep an eye on your county or district GOP website for meeting notifications. i miss them sometimes

Clean and Fair Elections

Speaker's forum on Clean and Fair elections: Learn how take over the Republican party. This might be particularly true for King county, because, aren't their party officers decided in the general election? It's something to do with their elections that is creating a stir.

This is not to say that is a problem specific to King County, because all local GOP headquarters are chock full of neoconservative liberals. They actually want a big government, and one local way to do that is through their major party offices. The fact these neocons glommed onto the GOP is indicative of their overall bellicosity, which in turn explains their tenacity. That means the current Republican party will use any machination to maintain their power, but the GOP won't change unless we, ourselves, insist on changing it.

What: Speaker's forum January 10th on Clean and Fair elections
When: 01/10/09 12:00 PM-01/11/09 2:00 PM
Where: Bellevue Community College PACCAR Atrium
Details: In King County, Washington State’s Campaign for Liberty is sponsoring a speaker’s forum on clean and fair elections. It will take place Saturday January 10th, at 4 PM at Bellevue Community College PACCAR Atrium. Speakers including State Representative Cary Condotta and State Senator Pam Roach will speak about the importance of accurate, fair, and open elections and what the average citizen should know about their involvement in the election process.

This is C4L’s first public appearance promoting fairness in elections, and all freedom lovers are encouraged to show up. This will be an opportunity to ask the tough questions and get involved in local politics.

Bad timing for the Snohomish county folks who will be at their county re-org. meeting this day.
As a PCO, and Ron Paul republican, i won't be able to go to this forum.

DAMMIT! oh well.

At the Snohomish County Reorg. meeting, the 'Order of the day' was amended so that lawfully required agenda items were handled first. That left, for one thing, the longest potential item to attend later.....the Bylaws. Actually, that was a good thing when you think about it. Bylaws can be amended anytime by the PCO (Central Committee).

Go to your county bylaws and Consider how the CENTRAL COMMITTEE, and the EXECUTIVE BOARD is made up. Then consider the powers (Duties) of each as detailed. The Central Committee is organized under provisions of the RCW, the State Party Bylaws, and finally under the County bylaws when approved. Next, understand that the PCOs are the voting public assembled by the general public elections. Personally, I view the PCOs being entrusted with a responsibility for considering, debating and voting up or down on the Bylaws and any notable function desired subsequent establishing their Bylaws.

Think of the Central Committee, with it PCO voting responsibility, relatable to the Legislature or Congress. And think of the Executive Board equivalent to the Executive Branch in all of our government from City to County and finally to federal. The Executive Branch is not Constitutionally empowered to create law without Congress: The Judicial Branch the same.

Your Bylaws should not allow the Executive Board to assume powers of creation without benefit of the PCO Central Committee consideration and vote in the absence of the PCOs. Your Bylaws may do just that. Instead, your Bylaws should do the same thing the Constitution does for the POTUS (Executive Branch). To answer that requirement go to Article 2, Section 3 of the US Constitution. It reads concerning the Powers and responsibility of the President the following:

"...He shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed...."

If you study that phrase it means, that if he creates law without the legislative process, he does not "faithfully" create the law with his signature alone. If he affixes his signature to legislation from Congress with unConsitutional provisions, he is fails to execute the law "faithfully" as assigned by the Constitution requirement of the job.

The same applies, or should apply, to the Central Committee and the Executive Board.

An amendment(s) to the County Bylaws outlining the "Duties" of the Executive Board should not allow the Board to usurp the PCOs on an excuse that the PCOs are absent. Perhaps, the first Amendment should read something like this:

"Take care that the Programs, Functions, and Rules approved by the Central Committee are Faithfully Executed."

If no other amendment is made, this should offer convincing debate that consideration of any proposal need be submitted to the PCOs for debate and vote.

Here is my suggestion and sales offering to the PCOs.

Mr Chairman, I make this proposal to amend the Bylaws because mankind is most often a creature of pattern. Once a pattern is set, others follow along until the numbers become quite large without regard of its good or bad.

Our governments are set with patterns found in the Constitution. Among them is a pattern of Legislatures and Congress where law and rules are created by proposal, debated, and voted upon. Legislation approved is passed on to the Executive where it receives its required signature. And that is the process pattern where rules are Faithfully created and Faithfully followed. (Article 2, Section 3).

We are much like that pattern in the county Republican organization where the Central Committee could be compared with the congress or legislature; and the Executive Board is much like the Executive in our governments.

But we can find the Executive replacing the Central Committee, and Bylaws set to allow it when the PCOs are not present. Yet, the PCOs are present spread through only one county. All that need be done is to contact them, and organize a meeting and/or vote. It is this proposed amendment that will insure we follow the same pattern we expect of government to follow, where debate is found and a vote of direct representatives is made.

Thank you.

Well, there you go. A study of the Bylaws may show more corrections are needed. If we expect our city, state and federal government to abide by the patterns of the Constitution, maybe it's time to set the Constitutional pattern at local level.

Dave
