Not a positive clip:

Washington Post gave Paul "3 Pinocchios."

I moved to this state. I don't own down here...I rent but I know co-workers that own houses within the 100-200K range. They pay property tax that is equivalent to what my parents pay on their $800K home up north in Minnesota. I pay $1400 on my house back up North. Down here they pay between $4000-5000 for the same size house.

Sure there is no income tax but if you own, you really get screwed. Definitely no incentive to buy right now that is for sure.

Just had to get my TX drivers license today. What a mess! I can't believe how busy it is and nobody working the front desks. Not sure where all the money is going...must be getting pumped into failing schools. I suspect there are a lot of people on the teat here in DFW.

2nd Washington Post article just posted (Paul has made himself a political force) also spinning Paul to some extent:

hxxp://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/ron-paul-has-made-himself-a-political-force/2011/12/01/gIQAa86buO_story.html?tid=pm_politics_pop

some excerpts:

And the Texas congressman has learned from his 2008 bid, in which he raised a surprising amount of money — primarily online — but ultimately couldn’t translate that into a single primary or caucus win.

...His suggestion that the nation bears some level of culpability for the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, draws hisses of outrage from most Republicans.

...Paul has expanded his appeal heading into 2012. But his support remains deeper than it is wide, and he doesn’t seem to have much interest in hedging or modifying his positions to win the support of a broader swath of the Republican electorate.

Paul’s unwillingness to sway with the political winds is what makes his supporters so devoted to him. It’s also what prevents him from being someone with a genuine chance at winning the GOP nod.

The man knows if his taxes went up. Apparently they, on the other hand, do not. All the man said was his own taxes went up. And I believe him.

'...Paul has expanded his appeal heading into 2012. But his support remains deeper than it is wide, and he doesn’t seem to have much interest in hedging or modifying his positions to win the support of a broader swath of the Republican electorate.'

He doesn't have much interest in hedging or modifying his positions to win a broader swath of lobbyist money either. So how is this a bad thing again?

These attacks are pathetic. He's winning support even though he won't play our game. We tell people what to look for in a candidate but he gets support without kowtowing to our agenda. Wahhhh!
