Washington County caucus was closed due to 1-3" of snow...

Were the Hancock caucuses notified earlier that their late caucuses wouldn't have Pref polls that counted? 2 super caucuses in Hancock next weekend. and castine on march 3. did they know, when they set up the dates, that they would be disenfranchised?

Excellent question. Why would anyone even bother?

Interesting that Gardner, the guy that postponed the caucus, was supposedly a Romney supporter, eh? I think he is feigning disgust that his votes won't be counted, but that's probably just me..

wgadget, that's a fascinating quote from the Washington county chair. If he's politically astute, he knows it's a losing proposition to sit on people's votes and prevent them from submission.

Of course it could still be a carefully choreographed routine. Oh... so sorry... so sorry... We took the vote, but gosh darn it, those state level guys just WON'T count them.

But it'll move the spotlight from him, to the state GOP.

heads need to roll over this. not necessarily figuratively.

Where is Madame Guillotine when you need her?

Who cares? If you seriously think your going to replace 80+ years of public school indoctrination in five years and two election cycles you're off your rocker. This is a long term war for liberty and this is another small little blip on the map. Who cares? I don't. Now. We have 6 days and some hours to pack that meeting for Paul and win more delegates. We have to get 1500 delegates to Tampa no matter what the weather. And even if Paul loses the nomination on the first vote, we have a party leadership to vote out of office!! I say its time for the warmongers to put their tails between their legs and head back over to the DNC or let THEM go third party.

Don't forget Nevada 2008. This is not nearly over. We won't give up. This isn't about Ron Paul. This is about OUR belief in liberty, peace, and NATIONAL DEFENSE.

I don't care what name you attach to the year. Get it right!! Freedom 2008. Freedom 2010. Freedom 2012. Freedom 2014. Freedom 2016.

We can't let this country will be Detroit on steroids...

Remember Nevada!! Fight on!!

I heard the "Battle Hymn of the Republic" playing in my head as I read this followed by, "Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?".

But with fiat money...meh.

Dont think so.
It was snow, man. 1" to 3".
Granted, its not the biggest pile of coke i've seen. But, the shits hard to come by in Maine this time of year.
Mormons might not drink booze or coffee, but they can score some goood powder if need be.

St. Stephen is over the border in New Brunswick, I'm posting their weather just so we know that that was actually snow nearby according to another source - Canada. Looks like more than 1-3" btw...so we can tell the snow wasn't faked.

Could Ron Paul Still Win Maine?
February 12, 2012, 8:44 pm
By NATE SILVER

http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/02/12/could-ron-paul-still-win-maine/

"Ron Paul’s campaign is claiming that it could still win the presidential preference poll in the Maine caucus because of a county that postponed its vote and will hold its caucus next Saturday, Feb. 18."

"A more likely scenario, perhaps, is that Mr. Paul ['s VOLUNTEER GRASSROOTS MACHINE] would work to turn out his supporters while the other campaigns would not. "

"If Mr. Paul were somehow to secure the 194-vote margin, that would create a messy scenario for the Maine G.O.P."

"A handful of Maine towns outside of Washington County have also not yet held caucuses. In those cases, however, the caucuses were scheduled for after Feb. 11 all along. Only 45 votes were cast in these towns in 2008,"

"Washington County might theoretically have some untapped potential for Mr. Paul. It is rural and relatively poor"

YOU HAVE FIVE DAYS!

NATIONAL RP GRASSROOTS TURN YOUR ATTENTION TO WASHINGTON CO MAINE!

Washington county, on the eastern most tip of the continental US, a rural county where folks were used to toughing it through bitter winters with little money, became the turning point in the defence of the Constitution, when after having been denied the LIBERTY to go out and vote because "the party" was concerned for their SAFETY in a snowstorm, voters stood up to be heard...
