WaPo calls RP supporters names

Have they seen what the politicians have been smoking? They're literally tearing this country apart and they don't give a damn about it

In the Loop: How can Romney make Ron Paul fans his buds? Back pot legalization. Here’s a radical proposal for Mitt Romney : If he wants to pick up the much-coveted support of Ron Paul ’s energized and organized “army,” the best way to their hearts might be through their lungs.

They don't get that we aren't (all) SMOKERS of cannabis. We understand the principle of the matter: that free people should be free to do with their bodies and property as they wish.

That's why even if Mitt made this "concession" and talked about decriminalization, few of us would take him seriously. He wouldn't base his decision on the reasoned philosophy of liberty, but on the whims of electoral politics.

We don’t expect the teetotaling former Massachusetts governor, who has said he supports the federal ban on marijuana, to take the leafy bait — but there are a few reasons it might not be such a wacky idea, once the GOP field has shaken out and he’s the last man standing.

Wow, 3 bad puns. I hope that they're happy hiring all their J-school top-dogs to come out with that poorly written tripe.

Do you ever feel like the whole MSM is a decades long "punk" of the whole American population? (I mean obviously this isn't literal, but it's almost like they're trying to see how sloppy and ludicrous they can get with their content before they get a credibility backlash)

I smoke a blunt every Saturday evening, buy a bag of mcdonalds, and get fat on my couch.

Then I go back to working 30-40 hrs a week and taking classes on the side.

Reaaaally gets me cheesed off when people are condescending and stereotypical towards smokers.

I have never smoked pot. I don't care if people smoke pot. Romney adopting the legalization of pot would not get me to vote for him. Even if it was a position that would sway me I wouldn't trust Romney to implement it.

When I was in high school one of the biggest potheads in my class was also the person with the highest grade (teacher would post our grades up on the wall) and didn't fit the typical pothead stereotype. I've also known some that did fit the stereotype but everyone is different.

I mean I totally agree that pot should be legalized but I think its just disrespectful to label us as that.

I find the idea of romney for legalized pot laughable. Though he is a flip flopper so he stands for everything;) Romney could smoke a joint and i would tell him to f off!

They label you to put a spin on your person that invokes others to avoid looking like or associating with you.

Yesterday evening we went to my son's (14) sports award banquet, where they give acheivement awards and sport letters. My son wrestles.

The principal decides to tell a story, out of the blue, about the kid that had bad grades and long hair that wanted a car. His dad said, bring up your grades, study the bible, and cut your hair. The kid brought up his grades, studied the bible but didn't cut his hair because the men in the bible had long hair, his dad said but they also walked where they went (which is false, they had camels).

I was the only man in the small audience that had long hair (in a pony tail).

If they made weed legal, people would start smoking it, right? After the successful War on Drugs, will anyone remember how to smoke it?

I prefer to use what is on www.whyronpaul.com (I take no credit for this) :

For liberty to be upheld, we must collectively uphold individuals' rights to do as they wish with their own bodies so long as they aren't hurting others. It isn't the role of some people to dictate forcefully the behavior of others. Who gets to decide what is moral? Ron Paul knows that this adherence to the cause of liberty is what is important.

Additionally, the war on drugs has failed. Government attempts at mandating specific morality has only eroded away at civil liberties while generating a black market full of violence.

"The federal war on drugs has proven costly and ineffective, while creating terrible, violent crime. But if you question policy, you are accused of being pro-drug. That is preposterous. As a physician, father, and grandfather, I abhor drugs. I just know that there is a better way — through local laws, communities, churches, and families — to combat the very serious problem of drug abuse than a massive federal-government bureaucracy." - Ron Paul

As President, Ron Paul will halt the Drug Enforcement Administration from infringing on states' rights, allowing states to effectively govern themselves.

It's for the children!

Those damn RP supporters will have 'em all shooting heroin with snacks in kindergarten.

Come on Mit just lie, tell 'em what they want to hear, afterall they're to stoned to really pay attention.

Lie-cheat and steal; the status-quo must be preserved:(

I'm not a pot head, I've never smoked weed and wouldn't plan to if they legalized it. Alcohol is legal and I don't drink that, I didn't even on my 21st birthday. I would not support any other GOP candidate if they randomly decided to legalize it because Paul's other views are what I care about. I am willing to overlook the whole legalization thing in favor for his advocacy of anti-war and anti-fed. If it was legalized, I just hope similar restrictions would be applied like with alcohol: public intoxication, driving or operating heavy machinery, employers still having power over firing someone who comes to work intoxicated.

House rule #23: every time a major outlet calls us potheads, smoke a bong hit

Yep. And then those of us who choose to do that will *still* be able to dictate a far more well-versed knowledge of history, the Constitution, and modern politics, than most of the other rats voting in the primaries/caucuses this season.

Yeah...I smoke cannabis on occasion but I'm not a pothead and saying you would legalize it IF you got elected wouldn't win me over because there are more important issues. Not to mention he'd be lying about it if he said it anyway. I know some people in Cali are pissed since Obama got elected.
