Wanting to volunteer my design talents

Hello, my name is Matthew and I am a designer/art director at an advertising agency. Over the past month I must have watched over a thousand RP videos on the web... I just can't get enough. I have fallen in love with this POLITICIAN. Who would have thunk it? Four years ago Huckabee was my man, and RP just flew under the radar for me. I don't want him to fly under the radar for anyone else this year. That is the reason why I am here. I think it is time for me to put action to my emotions. I've already donated but I feel that there is more I can do.

I quickly created this today:

If there is anyone here that can point me to a PAC or even the official campaign that I can can volunteer for, that would be appreciated. I'd like to work on ads, art work, whatever I can.

Whew!

BTW at the very least I'll use this thread to post more work throughout the coming weeks and if anyone would like high res versions please contact me.

TAKING REQUESTS!

Hmmm.... I don't know if the campaign can stop and smell the roses on design right now, but I could be wrong. RevPac might need someone, we always are doing projects here that need graphics as for moneybombs etc, and people contribute those....

We'll keep bumping this thread. And welcome!

The exciting work is here, not with one of the official organizations. Watch for ideas you'd like to tackle, or throw out a few of your own. The synergy here is amazing. Check out this article by Robin Koerner to understand why. An excellent read. Welcome, and have fun!

There are some grassroots moneybombs coming up. Banners and graphics are always needed for those. Also, people like having Ron Paul graphics to go along with current grassroots memes that they can post to their facebook. So if you stick around and bump this periodically I think you will get a lot of requests.

We also have people running for various state and local level offices who are often on a very limited budget so graphics work can be a real help there.

Projects pop up from time to time in the forums. For example, a February fundraiser is in the works. Before the Iowa caucuses, a GOTV banner was requested. Some are running ads on Facebook. Others are asking for flyers to attract veterans. Check out the Campaign Materials subforum to connect with others.

In the meantime, here are some ideas you may want to play with:

  • Banners for grassroots activities
  • Facebook Timeline covers
  • Facebook ads
  • Twitter backgrounds
  • Avatars
  • Flyers
  • Meme graphics ;)
  • pro-Paul graphs/charts

And as Mckarnin mentioned, there are pro-liberty candidates who also need assistance.

Btw, welcome and thank you! :)

That looks pretty good. If you made some adwords image ads in common sizes, I'd use them. (the bigger ones) I think it would be best if they were issue specific and contrasting candidates or their positions. I'd test and keep what works.

Ron Paul is suggesting he may need $10 Million to go all the way, he must have at least 1 million hard core supporters, he could continue asking for cash donations but times are hard, why not ask people t donate just 1 dollar per month from now on.
If every hard core supporter did that, each month he's have 1 M dollars and it wouldn't hurt anyone.
Also, has anyone heard of afilliate marketing, where companies offer banner ads to place on your website, if RP set up an online store where people could purchase anything, wouldn't cost them anymore but the campaign would get 2% of sale typically.
People could buy their groceries, book holidays etc, anything.

Welcome -- I'm new too and understand the "how in the heck was I so late in opening my eyes" thing!
Thanks for the donation and offering your talent is a wonderful thing!

Just last week were requests for high resolution graphics for banners, so hold on to anything you make.
Also, there is a photographer traveling around that submits great photos -- gotta find his link for you.

His forum name is Gage.
Anyone know GAGE's photo site?

just an idea, i work in construction, and many many of the guys in the field are always wearing clothes, or hats with the american flag on them, they are all for the most part very patriotic, around the holidays my company buys sweaters for our customers who men are in the field and they all make requests for us to put the flag on the sweater or an eagle..... so maybe you design stuff with ron paul being the true patriot that he is and always have him with an eagle or an american flag. We should definately be seeing pictures of ron with the flag eagle constitution in it with him.i suck at art, but i know what sells.

I am in charge of putting together the Grassroots HQ in Georgia and could definitely use your help on an idea or two if you have time. Please contact us via private message when you can to discuss. Thank you for supporting Ron Paul!

Just a suggestion, when making Graphics.

1. I personally think Paul looks better in red/white tones, sort of similar to the official website. Every time I see Ron Paul on a blue background it looks awkward, it looks best when it's clear and maybe blue/red text.

Just adding my two cents!

Thanks for all the quick replies everyone. Looks like there is no shortage of need out there. Still taking requests, send me a private message and I'll send back my email.

^this. The very best moneybombs of the past have had talented people helping them to look professional and appealing. It looks like your work qualifies.
