He's voting the presidential candidate of the Constitution Party, even though at the time of the interview he did not know the candidate's name other than that Ron Paul, his preferred candidate, had recommended the person as well as the party's platform.

So he didn't know the guy's name, or anything about him other than Ron Paul endorsed him.

But:

Sorlien rips up mailings. He's immune to the "Country First" as well as the "Hope and Change'' political mantras of the major-party candidates.

"I'm tired of the slogans from both sides," he said.

Sounds like an alright guy. ;)

lol. what a fool.

Since when is listening to Ron Paul foolish?

Look, I think Baldwin would make a great President. I don't agree with his theocratic views in the least bit, but he would effectively do the same job as Ron Paul at the federal level as President. I'd never vote for him for Governor.

If he had a chance of winning, I'd vote for him. I'm not voting for him because I don't want endorse his theocratic views in general.

That doesn't mean voting for him is foolish. The only thing that is foolish is voting for an establishment candidate.

Listening to him is wise, blindly following his recommendations is not.

When has he ever led you astray?

What if Ron Paul is the only person I trust in the entire world? Not a bad person to choose, IMO.

I know Willie. He was at our RP Campaign office quite a bit. Did a good amount of lit-dropping even with his bum knee. Haven't seen him since about caucus time, though.

What if he becomes senile? Will you merely call the reports BS and continue to follow him?

He's catching on, I'm telling ya.

That was their worst ad. I think Dr. Paul could have gotten at least third if he had better commercials. That includes the one with the doctor's office with the cheesy music in the background.

Well, we managed to get through Reagan's second term when he was in the early stages of Alzheimer's did we not?
:D

He's a fool? I don't understand that comment. Guess that makes me a fool too.

I'm Ron the Roofer, have no college degree although I have 3 kids attending OSU. Yeah, people like me and Willie are used to being called fools. Good thing this country is being run by the smart people; lawyers, bankers and big money makers.

To borrow a phrase from Forest Gump, well a paraphrase: I'm not a smart man, but I know what freedom is....

Agreed!

I'm Moe the Plumber and I will be voting for CB!

Yeah, and compare that to Lawson's congressional ads, those make Dr. Paul's commercials look like crap.
