I've always been interested in marketing, I have a business degree and took a lot of marketing classes in high school. Of particular intrest to me is the little things in advertising. How heavily everything is researched is incredible. The music in the dept store is not to fast to make you anxious, not to slow to make you tired, a lot of fast food companies use yellow....know why? Its a hunger color. One thing I've also noticed is the fact that most of Ron Paul's pictures are of him not smiling.....and he's usually the only one. Case in point in tonights election, these are the pictures from the results of CNN's website.

And then theres Ron Paul........the only candidate thats not smiling in his picture. Now keep in mind someone picked this picture out, there was a guy or a girl whos job it was to pick out pictures of the candidates. That person or people picked a smiling picture of every candidate except Ron Paul, and its not the first time.....coincidence? Usually nothing in marketing is left to coincidence, when you pick pictures in business and politics you always pick a picture of the person smiling, it shows off their best side. So heres Ron Paul's picture

I like that RP image whereas all the other candidates look partially retarded Ron Paul looks sincere.

Yes, he's only one that looks quite concerned about America's plight.

With such a concerted effort, could it be possible there's some inter-department memo waiting to be leaked and if there is, why hasn't it???

Looking at this again... Add Bush and another Clinton and you've got the 7 headed beast from the bible LOL!

I also have a degree in Supply Chain Management and I own a Company. I have noticed this since day one. It is disguisting how ignorant the majority of americans are. The only problem is that these people are the ones that vote in masses based on gender, personality, ethnicity. The catcher is that when you talk to these people, you will know who they are, because they are naive of their candidates platform or even their own personal stance on the issues.

Very true. I get the suttle feeling from people that they don't want to talk about who they voted for because they can't defend their reasoning or the candidate. It's as if it's something private.

I have always noticed this about news channels.

Im not a Bush fan, but I do notice that a lot of times when the newscasters are talking about him, they will say Mr. Bush - but if they are talking about Bill Clinton, they will say President Clinton.

I also notice that most newspapers and news websites put up unflattering photos of President Bush - even when his approval rating was high.

It absolutely is. And this is why we need a website where we can pool our numbers together to report this stuff and boycott the companies that advertise with that station. This way we can hold these media companies accountable for their actions. However, I need a web designer to help. I have no clue on web design!

Imagine being the company that gets the letter stating that 4 million people are boycotting their products because they are advertising with Fox and that they could reverse it by advertising with our approved stations. How fast would Fox News go out of business when no one will dare advertise with them?

I've noticed this too, and watching the CA results, I'm feeling down right now. I'm going to vote for Ron Paul no matter, even writing him in but I'm just really depressed. I feel like Neo and the rest of the world is just living in their 'matrix'.

In regards to the bad photos of Ron, I'm afraid that I have that same look. I just talked to some people and when I told them who I voted for, I just got this "do you think he's gonna win".

What I'm sad about is that our system is just set up for the beauty contest. People, I mean sheeple, just want someone "who can win". Its that whole "Seabuscuit" theory. No one wants to bet on the horse that is on its way to the glue factory, even though that horse has heart.

Part of me is disheartened to try to convince people anymore. stupidity reigns it seems.

People want the drug and that's why we get 'economic stimulus' plans instead of real solutions.

Just keep making bubbles...weee, weee, Wii....

AOL's candidate tracker has him looking downright mean-nasty angry! I always thought that was pretty odd...

Or what about when they show the old picture of him on the news - its always from the early 80's!!! (possibly even late 70's) Come on people, there are UPDATED Ron Paul pictures out there!!

Below is a blurb from the website mediamatters.org

The problem for Fox News is that it's the Democratic race that's creating most of the excitement, yet Fox News has been forced to mostly watch the race from the sidelines. That's because last winter, after Fox News tried to smear Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) for purportedly attending a radical Muslim school as a child, liberal bloggers launched an initiative to get Democratic candidates to boycott a debate co-sponsored by Fox News and the Nevada Democratic Party. (The boycott, powered by Foxattacks.com, was later extended to any and all Fox News debates.)

I hear talk of several projects underway to unite all the Revolution readers in a web based format. Would it be better to create a "media watch wing" within one of those startups or should you start a individual presence ?
