WaMu: Sorry We Don't Have Your $4200 In Cash, Want A Check?

I recently had my Bentley in the shop and had to take a 'Public Carriage' (I think you refer to them as 'Taxis'). Since these conveyances only accept paper money, and not loose diamonds or gold bullion like most civilized people I had to visit a Chartered Financier (you might know them as a 'Bank') and asked for the smallest amount to withdraw that I could think of.

The Manager had the gall to tell me that they could not give $100,000 in cash, even though I needed it to pay for the livery, automocar repair and perhaps pick up a diamond encrusted sapphire for the wife on my way home. I have since decided to move all of my accounts into a bank which I actually own so that this type of problem does not inconvenience me again. "

LOL

Should of set a TIME to withdraw all your MONEY...

Kept the original withdrawal slip...

then SUE THERE A$$E$ in small claims: $25 filing get back $5000 in restitution for ruining your life, mental anguish, hardships, etc etc.

They'll pay... because it would cost them more to represent,

SLIME BANKS

Thomas Jefferson is always right about them!

I feel bad for the original poster. I recently closed out my Wachovia account and took out more than what he was asking for in cash, and they didn't raise an eyebrow even. But this was a regular branch, not just a so-called mini-branch.

The same thing happened to my father at Bank North. He received a very large check and wanted it in cash. They said they could not give him cash but they could give him a check. So he took the check and went back in the next day to cash the check. They told him again that they could not cash the check. So he told the tell "Ok you owe me $35 for bouncing this check"

The teller looked at him confused and went and got the manager. My father again told the manager that they owed him $35 because they could not cover the bank check. The manager tried to tell my father that the "check was good". So my father insisted if the check was good to hand him the cash for it. At this point the few people in line were starting to speak up with things like "will I be able to get my money" "Give him his cash" things like that.

Needless to say my father walked out of there with cash in hand. They lie to you all the time saying they can not cash large checks. They even lie to you when you have THEIR bank check and try to cash it.

My ex opened a new account, and at the end of the week when she went to cash her paycheck they tried to resist cashing it too. Said it was to large, 6700$. This was 9 yrs ago.
