I plan on running for my local county board of commissioners. I would like to start a PAC to get local RP republicans to run for local offices. The pay is great and most people have never even heard of these positions. Lets get elected and eliminate as many unnecessary government jobs as possible.

I'm starting way at the bottom. I've submitted my application to be on one of the city advisory boards (preferably the Planning and Zoning Commission). From there...who knows?

I suggest that everyone of us should set up a support/discussion group of dedicated people in real life and not just in the Internet....

This is such a BAD BAD idea, (everyone on here running for gov. positions). 95% of the people on this board probably are not qualified to run for office and would just look ridiculous or ignorant if they tried to run and would give true republicanism and constitutional ism a bad name. This is not the first thread I have seen on this and as I have said before, being a huge fan of the bronco's does not mean you should try out...similar principal applies here. Sure get involved but running for office is not for everyone so saying everyone on here should do it is just ridiculous.

I think we need to fill congress with people who feel the burden that this government has placed on them, the average middle class american man and woman. You do not need to be a lawyer, or a CEO, all you need to know is, "Does the constitution grant me the power to make this law", and then to vote NAY!

I agree with you. However, this system was set up way before the Skull and Bones society was established.
Those who put this two party system together knew that all human beings are divided into two categories - conservatives and liberals...

But it's also important to take back the GOP at every level. Half of the local positions are about socialising sometimes/ jumping through administrative hoops other times: In a word, patience.

If we show it, we can win long term. All those neo-cons who are in positions of power dotted around, mayors, states legislators, local republican activists even, are those who pulled favors for McCain & Co. Let's replace them with real patriots. It will also provide a great platform for promoting our ideas.

I absolutley agree, but take a look at the threads running.

We ought to start planning, organizing and coordinating for the takeover of congress in 2010.

We're trying to figure out who we can select to run for president in 4 years. That is 2012. We can take over congress in 2 years and stop this circus in washington.

I agree. there is a bigger picture here. This isn't just about Ron Paul. It never was. It is a REAL Revolution and you if you want change you must have power and no power is given to people who do not reach for it.

As long as people who don't like or want to get involved in politics, they will eternally be governed by the people who do.

Usually Rebublican Central Committee Member is the easiest. We have a bunch of running for the June BALLOT. PM me if you need help.
