Wow. I can't believe just how viral this thing became, over 160,000 views and over 7,000 comments. When I posted it here and a couple of other sites, it only had about 100 views. Glad I could help in making this thing go viral.

That didn't come for free, early in the day we invested more than an hour debating/fighting off some trolls. They sounded very much like cops, with procedure level knowledge on checkpoints, then came some who attacked him of being racist, some would call him dump/subscriber-whore etc...and we (3-4 of us) fought them for hrs.
I am sure some of them were cops, one even PMed me about some 'discrepancies' in his version (about the dog) and why I should be sided with a potential felon. But they didn't know that more comments or refresh of the page means more honors the flick(new users?).

Doesn't change the fact that his rights were violated and the DHS is out of control. This is a deflection from the truly important issue. The guy could be a complete scumbag, but he still has rights. Anyone could have been in his shoes. He's not a scumbag because he chose, in that instant, to exercise his rights.

Read the comments on his multiple and progressive trips through a DHS checkpoint. What happened to the pastor is going to become commonplace to anyone who challenges the non-authority of low level federal authorities. It's no different than what happened to Steve Beerfelt and the TSA:

This isn't about his religious views. This is about the police state that is violating our rights.
Listen to this interview he did today. He told the host that he didn't state that he was a Baptist, or a pastor, because "I don't get my rights for being a Baptist or a pastor. These rights are for ALL Americans." All includes gays, jews, and anything else you want to bring up.
I also thought it was cool when he said "standing for what you believe in is more important than personal safety."

This whole thing is utter bullshit.
Funny how they told him he had the right to remain silent after they arrested him, but apparently he didn't have the right to remain silent before they arrested him, stating that if he had just answered their questions they wouldn't have tazed him and bloodied his face.

believe me, I understand that his rights shouldn't be violated just because he (might be) a dick. however, I am warning people might want to be careful when promoting this video.
What are they going to do? Call us terrorists? Oh wait, I forgot they already consider you one.
i'm not referring to police/government etc. just potential supporters who might see this video

So now we know the truth. He was NOT pulled out, tazed, and beaten for refusing to give his citizenship. He had be placed under arrest and failed to comply. He is lucky that is all that he had happen.
If an officer of the law places you under arrest you don't challenge that then and now. You take it to court, plead not-guilty and have a trial. If you are found not-guilty then you may also be able to file civilly for wrongful arrest
He was absolutely arrested for not giving his citizenship! That's the only reason he was detained in the first place and was the only reason that episode dragged on to that point. Then throw in the lying cops (dog alerted on your car which is bs) and every bit of that arrest was illegal as hell. Of course they had no reason to arrest him. They just wanted to violate his 4th amendment right to refuse a search. Then throw in the false arrest, use of a tazer and destruction of his property for refusing to "cooperate" with a bullshit fishing expedition by a bunch of pigs that think they can do what they want. I hope he sues the shit out of those fat fucks.

That is my point. Had he complied with the UNLAWFUL orders and arrest then he would have all right to sue to the ends of earth. Right or Wrong when a Law Enforcement Officer places you under arrest you MUST comply at that point.
Comply or be beaten. We've got that part. That's what we are trying to change. How is anybody ever going to stop this shit if everybody complies with illegal orders? He could sue if he had complied but he'd just get laughed at. Now he has something worth going to court over.

That would be ideal if we weren't already dealing with a kangaroo court system where the police lie with impunity and the judges nearly always side with them. Sooner or later people have to start standing up for themselves or the cops will continue to disregard your rights. I applaud the Rev for standing his ground and forcing them act in an illegal manner.
