The caucus was held on February 9th. The primary is due to be wrapped up on Feb. 19th. (We have vote by mail - I all ready voted) Percentages of the primary vote will go to determine 51% (17) of the state's delegates that go to the national convention. The caucus determines delegates that go to the county conventions (April 12th) to elect delegates to the state convention. At the state convention (in May, I believe), those elected at the county convention will elect delegates (the remaining 49%, or 16) delegates that will go to the national convention in Minneapolis/St. Paul later this year.
I hope that's clear.
It's a messed up system, but in a way, it favored Paul. After my experience this (and last) year of actually GOTV & running a caucus, I prefer a caucus only system. It best represents the people and favors the grass roots.
