the more i think about it the better this scenario looks. romney essentially proved that he can't win in his own party, and can't win independents in a general. santorum is a non-issue, as he can't win anywhere that doesn't hate gay people. the wildcard is newt. if we can get newt out, we have ourselves a 2-man race, which is exactly where we wanted to be.

Romney had 6 votes less than he had last time around. It would probably be safe to say that the vast majority of those people were die-hard Romney supporters that would have voted for him anyway. For all of the money Romney spent, he lost votes.

And now in my opinion the media owes Ron Paul some money for the attacks. It should cut both ways. Santorum could never afford all the free positive media he got and Ron Paul couldn't afford all the negative media he got.
