Vote: Should there be a Karen Kwiatowski forum?

Should there be a Karen Kwiatowski forum?

I said No for the sole reason that I have not yet seen a RP2012 official campaign release showing her endorsement.

I'm in her district and working a fair amount with her campaign. She's been endorsed by Peter Schiff and Tom Woods, (I've heard the RP campaign is laying low on endorsements for now?) she's a 20 yr air force colonel, was working in the pentagon and TSA pre-iraq war and started blowing the whistle from inside that the "intelligence" Cheney/Rumsfield/et al were touting did not match what they were receiving from the field, she's running against one of the chief players behind SOPA! She's running a republican primary against Goodlatte who is the epitome of all things wrong with the Republican Party (i.e. vote whatever the party says)... the VA 6th district is very conservative where the primary IS the election since no democrat will ever win, Goodlatte is utterly despised by the left, they have no primary and VA is an open primary state, this will be the first primary he has ever faced in his 20 some years in office (i.e. the first chance for liberals to dump him). And lastly it's a June primary and one of the local political guru's said we only need 3% of the districts registered voters to win.

Between the opponent being the author/introducer of SOPA, having a promising swing vote potential, having the full backing of about every tea-party in this district (she does), and having the backing of the RP revolution we could land another Ron Paul in congress!

Yes definitely need one. I didn't even know she was running, that is why we need things like this. I just contributed to her campaign too, would have done it sooner if I knew she was running. Now if only Karen DeCostener would run as well :)

She's great but she's challenging an incumbent in a GOP primary. Unless there is some evidence that the race is competitive, it looks like a waste of resources. We have to be smart in choosing our battles.

MRocked what evidence kind of evidence do you need?

Goodlatte wrote and introduced SOPA
He has never faced a primary
Democrats despise him, have wanted to take him out for 20 yrs with no chance (very conservative district where primary IS the election) and now they have their chance since it is an open primary (Anti-Goodlatte swing vote)
Pretty much every tea-party in the region supports her
She's well known and well connected in the RP circles and if the RP national community backs her she brings a national force to bear on a local election (Rand Paul won with 70% of his money coming from out of state).
It's a June primary, Goodlatte has his hands tied because if he works to GOTV he's conceding a threat and then has to defend his support of SOPA, increasing the debt ceiling many times (which funded Obamacare and planned parenthood), Patriot act, No child left behind, his broken term limit pledge, his hypocritical gambling legislation, and a ton of other unconstitutional big-gov, corrupt votes.

With 850k registered voters and a mid-June primary a negligible amount of voters show. With all the above mentioned and brought to bear it is certainly possible.

Especially with the latest fury about SOPA and Goodlatte's major part in authoring/introducing that bill.

Goodlatte has over a million dollars on hand as of his last filing; that's a difficult obstacle to overcome.

Why not. We dont have to wait for a Paul endorsement, we can think for our selfs. I still have to research her positions before I vote though.

I don't know, I mean does every liberty candidate thinking about running deserve a forum page. I looked into Kwiatowski and she looks like a solid candidate but there should really only be one set up if she's got a decent shot at winning.

Yes. Yes. Yes. A thousand times YES.

^Yeah this x1000

Kwiatkowski is a great candidate & is firmly in the ranks of the liberty movement. She is exactly the type of person we need to send to congress.

Paul hasn't endorsed her because there is an unwritten rule within the GOP that you do not endorse the primary challengers of sitting GOP congressmen. I guarantee he's hoping she wins though & will endorse the moment she wins the primary.
