Vote on my campaign logo

Please vote on which logo the campaign should go with. The graphic designer will be responsible for providing variations of the logo for use on yard signs, literature, mailings, Facebook, etc.

I’ll be tallying votes from various sources including this poll and Facebook after 48 hours.

I'd rate them in order: 4, 3, 1, 2, 5

I really don't like the font in 5, looks like something that would be used in a Soviet propaganda poster.

I prefer #4, although it is missing a "d" in "candidate"

edit: On second thought, I would shorten the second line and make the font larger. I would instead just have "Republican State House"

People will only glance at the signs in passing; Your name is the MOST important thing so that when they look at the ballot and see your name, they will recall seeing your name and will probably know next to nothing else. (people put his signs out; he must be going to win; I want to vote for the winner)

#4 is WAY to wordy. No way someone is going to be able to read that while driving by a sign. Because of that, #4 is the worst. I'm not even talking about the spelling error.

My problem with #5 is it has a red star, which means communism. If we were running in the Democrat Party in a college town, that might help you. However, it will hurt you with the older Republican crowd.

I talked with several NH state reps over the weekend. They said people for state rep. in NH don't put their party on their signs. Also, they said using the words State Rep or STATE REP are the best things to use on the line below a candidates name. I wish I would have known this info. before the logo contest started

Ideally, I'd merge elements from both 3 and 5 together. From 5, the gradient color on the text is good--and this is a commonly used effect in typography because of how aesthetically pleasing it is; however, the gradient on the lines should be improved or removed. I like the hollow-star O from 3 slightly better than the filled-star O from 5. The smaller first name on top of the larger surname in 3 is probably more effective than the presentation of name in 5. Not a huge fan of how the name works with that typeface in 5--I'd stick with something clean, simple, and not too overly stylized, such as the typeface used in 3. The brighter colors of 5 are preferable to the darker shades of 3. 3 probably has a bit too much blue, though the idea of making the 'Republican' red in contrast was a good idea.

Whichever 1 you use, make sure to not print the word Republican on your sign. It's fine to print it on your campaign lit and website, though.

I like 1 and 3 the best.

4 is not bad, 5 good except for the subtle impact a red star will have on Republicans.

#2 is too hard to see for a yard-sign. From a distance it will be a blur while the other ones will be readable.

I like number 5 the best.

It is the only one that easily gets the point across that you are running for New Hampshire House. People don't like to read, so make the most important parts stand out - your name and what you are running for, and that is what the 5th one does.

It is simple and attractive, plus it reminds me a bit of Ron Paul/Rand Pauls logo.

The only possible change is maybe you could try saying "State Representative" instead of "New Hampshire House." I don't know which one would be best, but State Representative sounds more professional in my opinion.

Number one doesn't tell me anything. At first i thought it was just a poorly made hour glass that was cut in half. The text doesn't tell me anything important. Also, you won't want to seem like an outsider by having the weirdest looking sign. Traditional is better for campaigns, I believe.

Number two is not eye catching enough. The white inside the blue is hard to read, the text is boring, and the star thing in the "O" doesn't look very good. But it is simple, which is good.

Number three is the second best IMO. It is attractive and eye-catching, but my problem comes with "state representative" being so much smaller than your name. I fear that people may see your name and not notice what you are actually running for.

Number four is terrible in every way.

You already know my thoughts on number 5.
