R[∃VO˩]UTION
MARCH

"June 21" is the day we march!

http://youtube.com/watch?v=Rk_vVaZxTno

Lets get this message spread far and wide. We need youtube videos and myspace bulletins and everything else. We need to do everything we can to make this the biggest event that this nation has ever seen. We need to show not only this nation that we mean business but also ourselves. We need to prove to ourselves and others that we are not just a small group of computer hackers and that we are not going away anytime soon.

I am not saying that you should not organize any other event, but we have a date from the man himself and I for one intend to use it as an official date. I am sure the majority of others will agree. And we need the majority to agree to this if we want this event to be as big as it possibly can be.

A lot of careful thought should be put into the date before it is decided upon.
We need to make sure a lot of people will be able to go to this march.

Ron Paul called for the march to occur on 1 of 2 dates on the Alex Jones show:

"Memorial Day Weekend" or "Fourth of July Weekend"

I would still like to be able to suggest other dates to him with reasons.
MANY have concerns about picking dates on popular holidays.
He is an intelligent man and should be able to take more information into consideration.

I don't care what date is picked as long as more people will be able to go, even if I can not make it to one of the dates, or I don't like it for some reason.
If we do decide on a date it must be followed and no longer disputed, or we will have problems.

We need to pick one that is not to far away or to close.

Once decided, everyone must be in agreement of the date. We should also only have one web sight to promote for pledges, so support will be galvanized.

I like this domain and they plan to use the date that Ron Paul agrees on:
RevolutionMarch.com

It is VITAL that we ALL work together on this. We can not afford to screw this one up.

I am starting to like Saturday April 19 since it is sooner and may have more impact if we can get enough people on that date.
It also would go with a Revolution March theme. This was the day of the "shot heard 'round the world", and I want this march to be heard round the world as well.

How about we do two marches? :D
That might have twice the impact. I mean we did have two big money bomb days, why not two big marching days?

Why does it always have to be on some type of "holiday"?

Not every day that is listed is a holiday. Pretty much every day has some form of significance. I am merely pointing out what I see as the most significant event on those days.

It is is held on a holiday weekend it will afford more people the opportunity to attend. Plus, your numbers might be combined with the visitors already in attendance.

Or they might just spin it as being so big because of the visitors already in attendance. From what we have seen already I think it is safe to assume what they would do.

I like the idea of two marches also. One for April 19th. and one for June 21st. The first is two months from now and the second is two months later. The first can be in Philadelphia and the second in Washington.

Well I suppose it could be done if everyone gets chartered buses with local groups. Not sure if a different location would get media attention though. But that could be decided based on more information then I am aware of. I do think we need to do something big within the next couple of months. Four months may be to long to wait to do something big, and we could pick up more supporters if we do something big within the next few months.

June 21. My family would try to get to the June 21 date. School is out, nothing else going on....

July 4th is a very bad choice, our efforts would all be lost in the background noise of the July 4th celebrations around the country.

I kind of liked the memorial day weekend until I realized that is the weekend of our primary in Idaho. I think the march should take into account what states are voting that weekend and how far the states are from DC so people can attend.

I prefer a later date than April for a number of reasons. Having the march too early runs the risk of conflicting with school. I have school-aged children that don't get out of school until after Memorial Day. Many other parents would have a similar problem and either would not be able to go (if they were a single-parent), would have to go alone while their spouse took care of the children, or, even worse, would choose not to go at all.

I would like to take our children with us and we could turn the event into a family vacation. This would make the whole trip more economically feasible.

The other thing we need to consider is the lead time that some people need in order to take time off of work. For example, I am a doctor who is employed by a hospital. I need to give notice to my employer and block my clinic schedule in advance of any absence. The more notice I have the easier it will be for myself and others to get the time off. A march in April would already be too soon for me.

Again, these are not considerations unique to myself. We need to make things as easy and inexpensive as possible for the most people to improve our turnout. I am afraid that the sooner we have it the harder it is going to be for most people to make it.

Although I have done and am still doing all I can for the r3VO7ution, this particular Alaskan cannot go to a march or gathering in some far-away land of rulers. I don't know anyone who is liberty-minded to the East of the Mississippi River, as all of my friends and family are in the Western USA, especially Alaska and Washington. I hope this doesn't make us a laughingstock in the main stream media, who would happily report on a small turnout and highlight "kooks".

Memorial Day weekend would be great, in my opinion, since I'll be within driving distance of the Capital then - I live in Wisconsin, so any other time would not work for me.

Why not Philadelphia on June 21, everyone to bring their own handbell?

The image of this is overwhelming! We would have to borrow, rent, or buy handbells from every kid in every band, every pawnshop, and every music store in the land, but we would make freedom ring!!

I couldn't go to the march, but I could help get handbells to people.

Saturday June 21 - The day our Constitution was ratified.

This is the perfect day..

1) It's the day The Constitution was ratified.. Which is bascally what we're fighting to restore..

2) It's during the summer- Kids still in school can now come + parents who have kids going to school can come too. (overall, more people would come)
