Ive seen bits and pieces around but no dedicated thread to this very important straw poll that WE can vote in.

http://www.frcaction.org/

Click the 2008 banner, register and vote. You must register and donate at least $1 to vote. It closes midday Saturday so don't wait. This is an important poll.

the 4k people on this forum could easily push this straw poll over for ron paul!

So please everyone go spend a buck or two and make sure we get this endorsement and probably some press for it. They gave ron paul 20 minutes to say whatever he wanted. It was fantastic and to me that was well worth a buck.

Actually, I think it is important that Ron wins this straw poll.

How many votes does he need to win?

It looks like a pretty major conference, any big name in the Religious Right is there. I would expect the total number of votes from conference attendees to be in the low single digit thousands (i.e, 1-3k), but with the online access, anyone's guess.

With Mitt Romney actively pushing all his supporters to steal this straw poll there could be quite a bit of voters, but I think the reality is the winner could take it with about 5,000. With a little participation and communication the Ron Paul crew can easily take this. But even though its been mildly mentioned on a few ron paul blogs I think it'll be up to the members on this forum to make that push. If we all vote we wouldn't even need to bug everyone else about it.

How could Rudy be doing so well in a christian dominated poll? are they that ignorant?

why does it say (on the main page) Ron has $524,919? where the hell are they getting that number?

Charging to vote in a poll?

Lame. Seems our money would go better towards the campaign.

Ditto.

If Ron wins this, they will just spin it as another "spam" conspiracy. Then all that money will have been wasted.

Sorry if I sound pessimistic, but this thing seems rigged to the hilt. Ron Paul 500,000 bucks raised? This values voter thing seems all about one issue deep down............. staying in Iraq and the rest of the middle east. Christians against Islam, kickin ass for the red white & blue, a big neo-con freak fest.

Someone correct me if im wrong here. Im always open to other points of view.

I'm paying them a dollar because they gave ron paul a 20 minute speach and an opportunity to address the issues in depth rather than sound bites. Your way of thinking is very pessimistic. He's getting your moneys worth, he's getting an opportunity for a big endorsement and some press rather than it going to some other candidate. I don't understand why you're so pessimistic that you can't see past supporting a worthless organization with a single dollar or two for an easy opportunity to help ron paul out big time, I just don't understand you. I for one aren't going to support ron paul while hiding under an agendaless rock.
