Republican vote by Age, interesting: 60+ years of age dominate. I can see how they are ruining this election for us.

Ron Paul and female/old voters problem

old people + female people= poo for us

With the destruction of family, those most dependent look at the government for support. That's why our government has been systematically weakening American family through its educational and legal systems, social services and welfare.

While Ron Paul has an exemplary family himself, he doesn't address directly how his program of weaking government will strengthen family. For example getting rid of Dept. of Education and welfarism would help strengthen family. Unfortunately, he doesn't have a real campaign strategists, men like Ed Rollins or Karl Rove, focused on how to crystallize and express the right message and draw the right conclusions for different audiences to help them understand the platform and amplify its value. Ron Paul is too smart for his audience and too honest to strategize about it. The campaign staffers he has around him have proven themselves clueless for the game at the national level.

Hence, even though Ron Paul's small government, self-reliance platform is the best one for the revival of American family, that is all implicit in his speeches and the 80 percent of people are intellectually incapable of connecting the dots. Thus they go for the sugar coated pro-family rhetoric of the big government, crypto-socialist candidate Huckabee, who is in substance the most anti-family among Republicans.

What a load of crap. The 60+ crowd isn't voting for RP because our campaign did not ask for their vote. Older folks are pretty smart but I don't know any that can read minds. If the campaign had bothered to give us older folks the time of day perhaps, just perhaps, more of us would have voted for RP. I am 60 years old but not typical in that I am internet savvy and not one to believe everything I read or hear. I much prefer to think for myself. I am also a delegate for RP. If you want to recruit the older americans to vote for RP tell them what about his beliefs mesh with theirs. Let them know that he has no intention of throwing them to the wolves when it comes to Social Security. Many of you talk down to the older generation because of their concern for their retirement years. Mark my words the day will come when you begin to be concerned about your retirement and that you will not want to be a burden on your loved ones any more than the current crop of older americans do. Look around you and try puting yourself in their shoes. I don't think you will be quite so smug when your time comes.

They may not want to place a burden on their loved ones but they sure want to be a burden on the (then current) taxpayers. The boomers are the ME generation who spent us from the most prosperous nation to biggest debtor nation and now want to retire leaving the rest of us not only with a $10T national debt but an additional $60T in medicare/medicaid/SS obligations for them. They are the generation that let the TV raise their children. They are the ones who were against Vietnam when their generation was being drafted and their economy drained but have no problem with Iraq/Afghanistan as long as it can kill some "bad guys" and "fight them over there, instead of here". They were the generation that decided to offshore manufacturing, the generation that sat on twenty corporate boards draining their capital and then flying off on golden parachutes as the companies crashed under their irresponsible rule. But what bothers me most is that they are the generation of complainers; they realize things were much better but don't seem to understand WHY they are worse or that they are to blame.

For the record, I did seem to convert a couple old people and I did so by appealing only to their self interest just like Ron Paul knows to do: "He's the only candidate who can assure solvency for Medicare, Medicaid, and SS because he is the only one with a plan to pay for it. And he'll make your SS check go a lot farther by restoring value to the dollar."

You're blaming an entire generation of folks for the misdeeds of a few elites!

no one in the southern half of this state cared; no matter what we tried. They all said the same thing "Ill think about voting" but the ones that said that are going to be the ones that get blasted
