FIRST NAME WILLARD! FIRST NAME WILLARD!

NOT LAST!

Did the bus fiasco ever get confirmed?

You didn't read the thread? The bus was not allowed to disembark passengers at the arena, and the delegates wound up running seven blocks to get to the hall. Among them was at least one member of the Rules Committee, who didn't get there in time to participate.

I was on the freaken bus. A federal agent would not let us off the bus. We were on the bus for over 2 hours and its a 25 minutes trip. Even Morton blackwell was held hostage. I have never seen anything like this before. It was a horrible day for our delegation. We went down fighting and caused mayhem during the voting process.

Have any of you talked to reporters yet?

What was the result on the rule regarding who chooses the delegates? Sorry if this was implied but I'm not clear on it.

I believe they rammed everything through. Priebus was too drunk to know the difference between yea and nay

i think they took a 30 minute liquid dinner break after the voting... chairman boehner, even!

Wow, I hadn't seen this. Absolutely insane. The GOP can go down in flames for all I care.

Wow.

They wouldn't let you off of the bus? I'd be tempted to call 911 and report a kidnapping.

I'm just a supporter and have never understood the game part of this but I've been sort of shocked watching the RP peeps get steamrolled so easily. That's not a criticism of the delegates, btw. It's just that the Republican party HATES RP, hates us, and they are firmly in control of the GOP. If they can shut out delegates, steal votes, dupe people into bus rides to nowhere, change rules whenever they feel like it, etc - and get away with it - AND have a few people hoping these fuckers win anything - it seems so misguided to be playing in their sandbox, imho. They are like Satan and the GOP is Hell and nobody is going to clean up Hell. This all reminds me of what the Democrats did to Ralph Nader. The two parties are evil to the core and the only way is AROUND them.

I was impressed with their power too, and ability to get away with it. I think it's a reflection on a small but powerful group within the GOP, obviously backed by big money. I don't think many state GOPs are this corrupt.

I think they are. That said, being smaller and not as well funded, state and local parties are the only levels where anything can happen.

I have a friend who is a common law expert who told me that to get your county constitutional, you need to get the sheriff, the DA and the registrar of deeds. I think that's the level this movement should be working on.

The whole debacle of this process from primary to RNC has revealed corruption to an extent that few of us knew about, democracy at the federal level is dead.
It's just a show, for the public now.

Potential civil suit? Morton was prevented from voting by a federal official. Lots of laws against that.
