When I heard about how a Nazi rally was going to be held infront of LA city hall, my first thought was "damn thats pretty bold" especially being in Los Angeles. I also thought that the Nazi presence couldn't be as confident or large enough?

Sure enough, the only violence that did erupt during the demonstration was perpetrated by the counter-demonstrators. Apparently they beat up some homeless guy who had Nazi related tattoos who wasn't even part of the rally.

I didn't know this, but the members of the pro-Nazi side were actually from Detroit! Something the local news or the LA Times did not mention. The article below makes the case for it being a staged event...

As MacDonald points out, it's interesting how they had the ability to travel so far for such a thing. Even LA might not be as bold as Detroit (except maybe immigration.) It reminds me of the neo-Nazis in Israel- they just pick the worst (or best?) places to operate.

I am from LA, I am kinda bummed I couldn't make it. Not that I support either side, but it is a friggin shit show. Both sides(Fascists v Anarcho Socialists, communists, atzlan nationalists) are total nut cases(losers who have no life).

I thought it was Nazis vs. Nazi haters.

Kinda odd that a bunch of nazi's from Detroit would go to LA to stage a demonstration.
That's a lot of money for folks in a very economically depressed area,

Unless a STAGED demonstration is exactly what it was. ;)
