The thread title pretty much has the reason it is here:

Vikings cornerback Chris Carr is the enlightened type — big Ron Paul supporter, has interned at a law firm with hopes of becoming a lawyer after football, former media Good Guy Award winner in Baltimore for accessibility/candor.

So perhaps it should come to no surprise Carr did extensive research before deciding to sign a one-year, $825,000 deal with the Vikings.

I hope he is fully recovered from his injuries.

I'm a Ravens fan. I loved Carr, it's too bad he battled injury problems last year. Other players stepped up at the CB position in Baltimore and there wasn't space for him, but I hope he revamps his career this year with the Vikings.

As a vikings fan i was excited when we signed Carr. Mainly because he's a Ron Paul guy (i think he was even at a Rev. PAC fundraiser too). With that said, i'm afraid his best football days are behind him. The vikings have had a dismal secondary for several years now, and I'd like to think he can be a lot of help in nickel and dime packages against probably the best offensive division in football. Green Bay, Detroit, and Chicago all have potent aerial attacks.
