Video update: Ron Paul speech after SC primary

Is it just me or is there background sound going on? Sounds like a propeller and occasional I'm also hearing beeping, may just be the stream though.

Did anyone else hear him say Stop Online Gambling Act?

Damn it Ron

He really needs to get SOPA straight. I've been following his campaign trail speeches and whenever he speaks about SOPA he calls it something different every single time. Piracy, Privacy, Gambling... I don't think he understands what it is and what it does fully.

Educational speech again.

Because when people hear the message it makes sense to them and it changes their minds. This is how we are winning. The whole tone of the election has changed because of this man and this message.

Wow, Ron is really showing some strong leadership qualities in this speech. I've never seem him come across so strongly.

Major cognitive dissonance in CNN's Florida focus group. The meter goes down when Ron Paul criticizes the Patriot Act and NDAA, yet shoots up when he immediately follows up with removing those specific powers from the President.

I don't blame him for the educational effort, just an observation :)

Before that speech I wanted to give everything I have to pushing this movement forward.

After that speech I want to give everything I have, and even more, to pushing this movement forward.

When else does RP get this much time uninterrupted on all 3 MSM?

These after primary speeches will give him a national bump. They can be more influential than a debate. A lot of people just heard Ron Paul speak at length for the first time and their jaw is hitting the floor.

Great job campaign!

He should tell the major news outlets he is giving a speech announcing he is suspending his campaign so they all will cover it, then talk about his foreign policy lol.

As I said in the other thread, it's about how you frame the issue not about what the issue actually is. Words convey meaning, and you must choose words that convey patriotism and not criticism of the country. For example.

"We are policing the world" - negative about the United States (or that's how it is perceived).
"We must bring troops home, end foreign aid, and stop fighting wars we can't afford" - conveys fiscal responsibility. You have to make it sound anti- government, not anti-american. The 'policing the world' isn't a good line. "The purpose of a military is defense, and we can have a stronger defense with bases HERE instead of in Germany/Japan" makes it sound like the government is incompetent. It is very important the way it is framed.

that was probably the best and most smooth speech i've heard him give since i've been following him, and it was just delivered uninterrupted across several networks. beautiful. many people were just woken up!!!!

CNN seems to somehow have a better mic feed on Santorum and Romney than on Ron Paul. Hmm....

Are you sure its not something else, like them booing those issues like the people at the speech did? I'm pretty sure they are responding negatively to the Patriot Act and the NDAA, not Ron Paul.
