Video update: Ron Paul owns foreign policy questions on Fox with Greta Van Susteren

There is one thing that bothers me and I noticed it from other interviews as well. When Ron Paul is asked about what he would do in a hypothetical scenario as a president (like syria, iran, egypt). Ron Paul doesn't really answer the question. He just says we never should've done this or that. Even the interviewer tried to remind Ron Paul to answer what he would do in this situation as president..

Basically he is saying this kind of stupid shit ain't happening when I'm pres cause we aren't going to be there meddling in these people's business. It's their country, let them figure it out. They aren't holding 15 Americans over there cause they are tourists.

He should seriously just answer these stupid, IDIOTIC, questions with, "Read the Constitution." "Follow the Constitution."

and follow it up with, "We're broke. You want to borrow from China?"

Hypothetical, again, what if Sasquatches attacked Alaskans from Russia...
"Follow the Constitution."

Would you not address this? "We're broke. You want to borrow from China?"

What would you do about Iran?
"Follow the Constitution." "Follow the Constitution." "Follow the Constitution."

I also notice that he doesnt really answer hypotheticals in most interviews XD.. just saying how it shouldnt have gotten to that point or something along that lines XD..

But I guess Ron Paul was on his game right now. Ron explaining his FP is a hit or miss XD... He needs more hits like these! He didnt ramble and i noticed he didnt say "umm" or "uhhh" which is good.

after he dropped that last truth bomb on them the fox execs were yellin cut it!!!
No, no, they were just at the usual hardcut moment where the computer will send it to commercial if the host or producer doesn't. It was a 7 minute plus interview which was preceded by the Palin interview and preceded by the show's lead-in; all that adds up to the time it takes till the traditional hard cut.

Luckily, we were in the A-block. Luckily, Palin promoted our fiscal policy while Ron Paul focused exclusively on clarifying his foreign policy to traditional GOPers. Luckily, Greta promoted the hell out of this Paul interview before today. And luckily, the interview will be re-aired in a couple hours so that even more viewers can see it!

And a reminder that EVERY Representative, Democrat, Republican, Independent, Socialist, Liberal, Conservative, they ALL swear an oath to the Constitution...

WOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Thank You Greta for letting him speak and Thank you Paul for making the best of the time she gave you.

That was gripping !!!!!!!

No doubt there are people who are swaying his way now as a result of that.

His ending about the military donations going to him because they support a Ron Paul foriegn Policy was excellent and his last line is what may change history if enough people get to see this.

Thanks for posting the video.

Awesome interview. Front-page worthy for sure!

Edit: Or maybe better to use the original On The Record thread with the video embedded?

I would if I knew how, still need to learn how to front-page stuff. I'll merge the threads though so all the commentary is in one place, maybe someone else can front-page it then, or I'll look into it later. Thanks again Immortal Technique for the tube!

Besides that... I noticed he improved on explaining his foreign policy, but his explanations are hit or miss. hehe.
Um, none of the scenarios Greta laid out were hypothetical other than Ron Paul being the President. There is massive killing in Syria and we did just shut down our embassy and evacuate people from there; there are 19 Americans being wrongfully arrested and tried by the Egyptian military; and Israel is saying they may bomb Iran very soon while we put on more sanctions. Those are all real scenarios.

Regardless, Ron Paul was amazing in his answers. A-freakin'-MAZING!

wow... everyone PLEASE tweet Greta and thank her... she was extremely courteous to the incorruptible one...

I already front paged it, just from the clamor!!

Now I get to watch it!!

Immediately preceded by "I get 2x as much money from the military as Obama, and 6x as much as all the other Republican candidates combined. That ought to send a message. Why does the military support Ron Paul (yes, he went 3rd person) so strongly?"

I was literally standing up screaming YESSS!!!! at my TV. Preach on Ron!

YEEESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

Hehe yea, i have to say the 3rd Person thing was great, wish he would have done that more in the debates, as it shows you are standing up for yourself a lot. Brought the GWB FP as well in 2000 (lol he said 1970 first, anyone catch that :D ). He needs to bring that up in the debates too, he only did 1 time i can remember and it was like 5 months ago. The ending of course was pure pwnage as well, just like with Piers about the british soldiers. Always notice they NEVER have an answer or comment to those? It's because there isn't one.

Nice interview. Yeah, he pretty much avoids her questions and gives the Paul party line of how he could have avoided it in the first place. Effective but I wish he would have specifically addressed each of her questions. We do in fact live in the present and have issues that have to be addressed short of the 1954 takeover of Iran. And that in my opinion is why we get no traction. The glass half empty will never win the day. It's the same as the Hannity/Sanitorium fear mongering but from a different approach. Fear of the coming economic collapse, fear of the police state, fear, fear, fear. Not a winning proposition. At the end of the day people want solutions. He has them but hasn't figured out a way to actually think it through and articulate a message with that focus. Maybe Rand but more likely someone attending a caucus somewhere. Sorry for the rant but just the way I've felt for a long time.

Ron Paul HAS to answer the question by defining the problem, because the very problem with current US Foreign policy is that we're constantly chasing after threats we caused. I have no issue with RP pointing that out.

HOMERUN

I've haven't seen Ron that fired up and on point in any interview all campaign. That was powerful.
