Video update - Ron Paul on The Situation Room w/ Wolf Blitzer 1/10/12

Nice interview! Imagine where he would be if he started out this race and got fair interviews like that.

That was one of the best interviews I've ever seen RP do. His answers were clear and concise, and his demeanor was calm and confident. Very Presidential.

Nice interview! Imagine where he would be if he started out this race and got fair interviews like that.

And if the fake conservative talk radio crowd like Hannity, Levin, Rush and Beck were just neutral, Paul would be winning and the nomination would be ours.

I hope we can down-play the drug legalization long enough to get to the general election, where it will be a huge boost.

I'm glad he got asked about the Mitt "controversy". It gave him a chance to show how principled he is compared to the politicking, demagoguing fools Newt and Huntsman. (EDIT: and Perry)

It blows my mind how idiotic of a tactic they're using. Attacking a businessman for acting like a businessman, in a GOP primary? lol. For Newt being known as the "smartest guy in the room", he sure does a lot of absolutely stupid things.

He rambled a bit on the drug war issue though.

I wish he'd say something like, "Look, I'm a physician, and I understand the dangers of drug abuse and don't support it. But the fact of the matter is that the war on drugs is making matters worse, and ultimately people should be treated like adults and be allowed to do to their own body what they wish. It shouldn't be up to the government to protect them from themselves."

It's gonna be a spin on why the Paul campaign isn't putting much attention on Florida.

What would be funny is if the campaign skips out on that state and we end up winning it, lol.

You called it. They asked.

They should ask Huntsman, Santorum, and Gingrich why they don't care about virginia.

You got that right. This question is complete nonsense, and they keep asking it of Ron as if it has some special, significant meaning.

Did Wolf ask Huntsman 10 times about why he didn't care about Iowa? Every candidate could be asked this question, and other candidates are bypassing more States than Ron!

The drug answers needs to be explained in a way that appeals to people who are ignorant of the issues, otherwise the media is just going to continue to hammer him about it. Paul has explained it well for the most part, but he needs to find one talking point answer and drive it home over and over and over again. It seems for some people that they just won't get it unless it's repeated in a soundbite fashion multiple times, sadly.

"To say I'm endorsing a drug is ridiculous. I simply want to get drugs out of the jurisdiction of the federal government, as I firmly believe that when the federal government is involved in the process that they impede state and local governments from doing their jobs, not help them. Having the federal government involved with drug laws has only led to shady deals with Big Pharma and the incarceration of innocent millions of victimized people. I want to change that. Not only would localizing drug laws make things more efficient and fairer, but it would save the American tax-payer a lot of money which is what we have to do in order to get rid of the waste in Washington."

WTF is she talking about? Ron doesnt have enough funds to go to SC and doesnt have legs???????????

He's gotta talk about the 40,000 murdered since the US increased the weapons sales and troops and told Calderon to step up the the war. He has to paint a picture, grab the conservatives by the lapels, and shake them up by forcing them to deal with the graphic picture he's painted. 40,000 dead Mexicans!
