Just got over. Typical crappy questions, Ron did the best to spin the answers to talk about what he wanted.
Joining from Missouri
First question, "I think it's fair to ask, you don't have a single win in a state, what does the future look like?"
Ron: "Depends on what you consider a win, I think we are winning and getting far more delegates than reported. I'm shocked at the tremendous turnouts, 14,000 people in the last few days. I know it is missing the national Tv, but just because you are at the top now, doesn't mean they are going to stay there."
Cathy: "Does Ron Paul have a ceiling? Around 15%? In your heart of hearts, do you have to rethink this?"
Ron: "I use the track analogy, I just run really hard until it's over. We know what the odds are, but no one actually knows the future."
Cathy: "Do you foresee yourself taking this all the way to August?"
Ron: "Well, yeah, because right now we don't know when the end is, because we are not going to lock it up in May, so in my mind , I anticipate it will go on, and that is certainly what my supporters want me to do."
Cathy: "You mentioned this the other day, do you really think we have a fascist system?"
Ron: "Not yet, but we do have corporatism. Just look at the bailouts. I do the best with the middle class because they understand this. Just think of the change in civil liberties, and how Americans can be held by the military now without a trial. We're not there yet, we can change the course such as we did with the online piracy act."
Cathy: "let me ask you about your rivals. Can Rick Santorum beat Obama?"
Ron: "I don't see how that is possible. And this whole talk about birth control pills and how he wants to control people's lives, yet he voted for planned parenthood? He has an atrocious voting record as a Senator."
Cathy: Is this talk about social issues a winning one?"
Ron: "I don't think so. The whole idea that it is a national issue who pays for birth control, when it is a national mandate, that is the problem.
Cathy: "Talk about Mitt, what do you agree with him about, economic issues?"
Ron : I'm uncomfortable with all three of them, maybe his management style might be good, but they all represent the status quo, I put them all in the same category...."
Cathy: "That's enough, I'm going to have to interrupt you now, I'm done with my horribly biased questioning and will now go wolf down a dozen donuts."
I might have made that last line up.
