It was an alright interview, the middle of the interview had some substance, but the beginning and the end were more about his personal life though. Also, what's with the random question of Giants or Patriots... >_>
He knew Ron was not a football fan and wouldn't know what he was talking about and he wanted to throw that out there to try to get football fans to not like him because of this. It was a cheap shot, very cheap, but to be expected from someone like him. I don't care for football either and didn't know what he was talking about as well.
Yes, it was very cheap, trying to paint him as "out of touch" and not a "normal American," at the very end of the interview.

Yea, im sure the great King Romney would have gave a nice scripted, bs answer, something like:
"Well, as you know, Piers, being in the NE area for so long and having governed there successfully for 4 years, it is no secret i have come to enjoy NE football, namely the Patriots, so my money is definitely on them to beat the Giants"
Seriously, read that a couple times and imagine Mitt's voice in your head. That is virtually how he would answer it.

Ron Paul did fantastic in this interview. Defended his positions really well in the face of some tough questions. While maybe he could have been a little clearer on some issues, this interview is another step forward for the cause of liberty.
This is prolly the first time il disagree with ron paul, but, last time i looked we invaded Iraq 2 times with you guys and we went right into Afghanistan too (btw i served in Iraq and then Afghanistan twice, i also served in Kosovo and bosnia. Infact ive been deployed to more US warzones than British, where were you guys when were getting hammered by Irish terrorism? oh thats right, you guys gave them money and guns!!)
Don't even dare to suggest that Brits should go die in Iran, don't even think it! If it wasn't for the US neocon warmongering agenda then no-one would be going, brit or otherwise. I don't give 2 shits if Iran get a nuke, and if its an issue then its an issue for Israel primarily since their the likely target. If Iran even get close to a nuke Israel will sort it. He wasn't suggesting they should. He was telling Piers that if he wants to stop Iran's nuclear program, then he should get his own country to do it not ours.
I can understand, though, how us Americans would like his statement and Brits wouldn't.

As an American, I agree with you. When I first heard about this statement, I didn't think it was quite fair considering the British did fight with us in Iraq and Afghanistan. I haven't actually watched the interview myself yet. Maybe Ron had just had it with Piers' rudeness and interruptions.
However, I don't think it's just the US govt that wants all these wars. For example, the British and the French seemed to be more agressive about the need to overthrow Ghadaffi. Or maybe the plan was for the US to take the lead here as well, but Obama backed off once this war became too unpopular in the US.

1) why is the US the policeman of the world
2) Peirs is from the UK
3) The UK government created Isrial in the first place.
4) Peirs tired to pull "UK is better because of healthcare"
Great interview in spite of the interviewer. I would never higher this interupter to interview anyone. I don't care what you think buddy, I want to know what the guest thinks.
