Honestly-
I can't speak for others but for me its a hard sell and he hasn't done enough to stand out, he doesn't contrast himself against the other people running so his message gets watered down.

I did some phone banking for Ron Paul back in 2008, and trust me, if Rand was mirroring his father perfectly, you'd have equal difficulty with most people you'd be calling, albeit for different reasons. I remember being told that I was an anti-American nutter for trying to get Paul elected more times than I can even count, and the so-called "racist newsletters" became so ubiquitous that nobody wanted to hear anything about it, and most of the already Pro-Paul people were so well-informed already that I was already preaching to the choir.

Trying to convince people to do a 180 and support freedom is a thankless and frustrating job, which is the main reason why most people won't do it. I'm on the fence about whether or not I'm going to put myself through it again, especially given how busy my work schedule has become.

He needs to embrace his identity and he needs to destroy the competition with no second thought, and no hesitation. He went off on Chris Christie and then he hesitated and didn't go for the kill. He let that scumbag peddle fear, he could of destroyed him intellectually but you could see that he held back.

He probably held back because the mods might have cut his microphone if he'd let the exchange go longer. Christie, while not exactly a small potato in body, is such in terms of his political pull. Very few people even like Christie, and he is proving to be about as much of a gaffe machine as Joe Biden if you look at some of the dumb stuff he has said at campaign appearances.

Being a complete dick is easy, and we have both Trump and Christie taking that path of making headlines rather than making sense. Being a rational human being and balancing that with passion is not easy, and often Rand succeeds at both, though not always to the liking of all looking on.

if you want rand to win start doing something productive.
arguing about all this stuff day in and out is anti productive.

I am getting worn out by this forum when I should be motivated by coming here and I'm sure I'm not the only person.

I'm so sick of avoiding these stupid arguments that garner hundreds of responses and never see any threads about activism anymore.

if you want to sit on your butt and argue about this stuff fine.
but if you honestly want rand to win then do something to help at the same time.

if there isn't more activism on this forum in the future I'm afraid I'll be better off not coming here.
if I'm not going to work towards a solution I'd rather play with my kids than sit here and read all this crap everyday.

Hey man we are here to discuss the campaign, I'm not trying to change peoples minds that's Rands job. He doesn't make a convincing argument though when asked whether he won the exchange he said that's for us to decide. I keep sounding like the news when I talk about him to people though I keep having to say that his foreign policy is less bad. when everyone else on the stage wants WW 3 he needs to make the argument that he wants to win

phone from home isn't about converting voters, it's data collection.
the main purpose I think is to identify supporters ahead of gotv efforts.

in a state like Iowa that is a huge advantage and is something very easy for us to help with.

even if you take 1 night a week and fill out 5 surveys consistently that will make a difference.
convince someone else to do the same and you just doubled the effectiveness.


even if you don't want to help at all stop participating in stupid threads that only serve to frustrate and discourage people that do.

if it's so important for you offer free advice then advising on projects and activism is a better outlet.

what are some good tactics to use for phoning? can you think of any good initiatives or goals that draw in more involvement?

She's right. Rand is wrong on this issue. She's talking about the economic effect it has on working poor Americans. Young Black men unemployment rate 50 percent

Young black men have an unemployment rate of 50% in New York also. That can hardly be blamed on Mexicans.

4)(different kind of politician) This is the line that people hate the most, people have been hearing I am different every 4 years, right now Trump and Bernie Sanders are tricking people into falling for their lies, he needs to cut out the politician speak completely if he wants people to believe him, he needs to call politicians liars, big businessmen are liars, he needs sound more like the 99% then like a politician people don't get ahead in this country because they work harder, they get ahead because the system is rigged against us. He needs to be a voice for people like Kalief Browder a voice for people who don't have one, a voice so loud that he can wake the dead.

He needs to wake the dead. Rand needs to fight for us so we can fight for him. He isn't wrong for going after trump. But he needs to take off the gloves and go after the system as a whole. FIGHT RAND FIGHT
