Guys, I think some of you are reaching here. No one is suppressing Rand Paul but Rand Paul. I think a few here are pointing out Rand's miscalculation here on being the attack dog against Trump. I hate to say this, but Cruz is playing it smart, sympathizing with Trump supporters.. saying all the right things. What is Rand doing? Telling them to wake up, being condescending and speaking like he knows better. This doesn't go well with anyone. I am telling you for a fact that MANY of Trump's supporters are only supporting him because he's a protest candidate. Because no one else had the balls to step up to the establishment.

I am no Trump supporter but Rand is absolutely looking like a typical Republican shill now going up on stage saying 'We Republicans have been against single payer, etc etc'. Rand sold out half the libertarian base to go after the lowest common denominator voters that are somewhat angry. Well, guess where they are now? With Trump, with Cruz. Attacking these candidates will not earn their supporters sympathy, it will do the opposite. Cruz will be the victor when Trump implodes, mostly because he sympathized with Trumps views. Rand will be looked at as a whiny milquetoast Republican they'll be railing against, just like Jeb, who at least has an advantage in moderate places like Florida. Trump's supporters fit wanna be pastor Cruz as well as a sink in an outhouse. He can position himself all he wants, but it ain't gonna happen for opportunistic Ted. The guy is a used car salesman and very envious of one Rand Paul. I can't stand the guy, and honestly was shocked when Alex Jones supported him. Although I don't think you necessarily hate Rand but your expectations of Rant not being able to do what Trump has done is completely unrealistic.

First, we all should know that Rand's personality is not like Trumps. Rand is not a jackass douche, he is a pretty calm guy and we know that from years and years of seeing his speeches and body language. Rand is an intellectual, he isn't a loud mouth. Any expectation that Rand could've been the "loud and offensive anti-establishment" guy when is is exactly the opposite is just ridiculous.

Rand and Ron's positions aren't appealing to low information voters because it takes research and understand some basic philosophy to understand. You don't need to do any research to be a Trump fan. Rand was never going to have these low information voters, at least not during the primaries. Actually none of the candidates were supposed to have all of these low information voters. Trump brought them out with his celebrity and big mouth. Eventually most will go back into dormancy before Iowa.

Great. You should go tell Rand that he should campaign in support of NAFTA, GATT, TPP and other globalist trade deals that violate American sovereignty and the US Constitution. Sounds like a real winner.

Even if Rand does as you say, and you do know that he's done this in the past and it worked because the gatekeepers let it get through, but guess what? They shut that shit down. Even if he does as you say, they're still not going to let it get through. So with that said, Rand is doing the smart thing. Create a fight with Trump and slip in the things that your suggesting here and there while pushing his own policies and positions so that people can hear them. Without a fight with Trump, I don't think the media is going to allow Rand to get his message out. They've literally shut him down. I think Rand sees this as his only outlet to get his message out and he's jumping on it. I say go for it.

I agree. Most americans dont care about 4th amendment or overreach with surviellance. It doesnt directly, negatively affect most americans atm. People care about immigration, economy and healthcare. Honestly-
I can't speak for others but for me its a hard sell and he hasn't done enough to stand out, he doesn't contrast himself against the other people running so his message gets watered down.

1)Abortion, he fought to have planned parenthood repealed or whatever. This automatically puts him at odds against pro choice people, my girlfriend hated the fact that she kept receiving emails about this, and If I was talking to a single issue voter who extremely anti abortion then they might like that stance, if there weren't people like Mike Huckabee that wants the feds to put a gun to peoples heads so they don't do it.

2)Foreign Policy, He takes this non-interventionist stance but he voted for sanctions against Iran and says he will vote against the deal, John Kerry recently said that if we don't do the deal then we might lose our reserve currency status and we might go to war

3)Anti-establishment, He has gone against the establishment for our drone policy and for our bulk collection policy- Both of those have been shut down by the Obama administration so they lost their teeth, Ted Cruz fuck you'd Mitch McConnell and Trump fuck you'd Fox news.

4)(different kind of politician) This is the line that people hate the most, people have been hearing I am different every 4 years, right now Trump and Bernie Sanders are tricking people into falling for their lies, he needs to cut out the politician speak completely if he wants people to believe him, he needs to call politicians liars, big businessmen are liars, he needs sound more like the 99% then like a politician people don't get ahead in this country because they work harder, they get ahead because the system is rigged against us. He needs to be a voice for people like Kalief Browder a voice for people who don't have one, a voice so loud that he can wake the dead.
