[Video] Rand Paul on The O'Reilly Factor w/ Eric Bolling 8/10/15

Trump is an establishment candidate.

He aims to preserve the status quo for the benefit of cronies (such as himself).

Not from where I am standing. If Bush, Walker or Rubio hold our fate, give me Trump. Trump at least admits he is a flawed broker. Trump does not project the illusion that he is the next great arch-conservative.

FOX will use Rand up then toss him in the can like PP non-usable parts. Surprised Rand can't see that.

Kind of like what happened when Ron Paul took out Santorum and Gingrich, eh? If you want a Trump presidency, you might consider that you are on the wrong forum.

Actually, just like they did in the debate on Thursday. He got the least amount of speaking time than any other candidate; yet, he runs in to do an interview against the second candidate FOX hates the most... Trump. So it's a win, win for FOX ... they can kill two birds with one stone.

The bottom line is not the size of the cut but the remaining rate of taxation. 15% right? That's too high.

And he doesn't emphasize cuts in the scope and scale of government. Big mistake.

Sorry to be rude, but you're CLUELESS. Reed up some more on Rand, taxes and the liberty movement.

This is the forum for the what's left of the liberty movement, correct? The one started for the movement that grew out of Ron Paul's candidacy. Right?

Trump doesn't want to raise taxes.

Rand calls Trump a 'fake conservative.'
Tea Party is a rebellion against fake 'conservatives.'

Trump would violate states rights. (paraphrased)

Rand says he wants a 'smaller government.' Where's a link to his details on that if he has a position paper on it?

Rand has hurled several pejoratives at Trump who has a home-field advantage on pejoratives.

Someone who is better at Twitter than I am should find the tweets from the journalists that were on Rand's conference call with reporters just now. He goes all in on attacking Trump. I don't know if this will work

I guess it's his theme for this week. Hopefully he moves on to something else by next week. If Rand really wants to take votes from Trump, he will have to do a full-court press opposing TTP, TPA, and open borders. Just saying that Trump is a bombastic flip-flopper won't cut it. And Trump hasn't flip-flopped on his two big issues that people like him for -- trade and immigration. Trump was talking about bad trade deals 27 years ago if not earlier.

Rand is mistaken.

4 brackets; 1-5-10-15%; kill death tax & corporate tax

My 5-part tax plan involves reforming the income tax. The government confiscates way too much of your paycheck. The tax code is also a very complicated system that forces Americans to waste 6.1 billion hours a year trying to figure it out.

What does that tell you? It tells me that it's time we restore simplicity & sanity to the income tax. Here's my income tax plan:

Up to $30,000, you pay 1%
From $30,000 to $100,000, you pay 5%
From $100,000 to $1 million, you pay 10%
On $1 million or above, you pay 15%

It's clear and fair. Best of all, it can be filled out on the back of a postcard and will save Americans big bucks on accountants and massive amounts of time wasted attempting to decipher the tax code.

Our country is hungry for real tax reform. That's why we should implement the 1-5-10-15 income tax plan. And we need to enact [the rest of] my 5-part tax policy: kill the death tax; lower the tax on capital gains & dividends; eliminate corporate taxes; and a 20% import tax.
